When I worked in restaurants, one of our side duties at the end of our shift was to combine used ketchup bottles. We would pour almost empty bottles into almost full bottles. So the bottles on the tables are usually a mix of new and old, used and unused.

I believe it's called marrying the ketchup.

And like ketchup itself, it's disgusting.
