Kevin Jones may lose his starting job..... (1 Viewer)

Have Calhoun's injury concerns subsided? I'd be willing to give him a shot if I were the Lions, he was definitely productive at UW. They run a zone blocking scheme similar to Denver's that's pretty runningback friendly at Wisconsin, so I'd have to see more NFL field time before I knew if he was a legit candidate.
That would be cool. I've always liked BC.

Calhoun is garbage!

The Lions could easily spend a third round pick in th 08 draft and select Mike Hart out of Michigan. Keep TJ Duckett and they would then have a Thunder and Lightning combination with collegiant cross town rivals.

I think Detroit will go with what they have at RB, with Calhoun, Duckett and Jones. Surely their focus during free agency and the draft will be defense, defense, defense. They're losing Shaun Rogers already. I would think if they spend any money/picks on offense it would be on the offensive line.

Only problem with that, where is the Lightning coming from? Hart has had a great college career and may end up being a good pro but far from Lightning at the NFL level.

Guru, the best part of Michigan is missing in your avatar....? RB is the least of the Lions worries right now...I just think they are trying to keep Jones motivated and make sure he gets into camp. Jones, if he is healthy and Duckett would be fine with me. If the lions get anything remotely close to what they gave up for Tatum Bell and Foster it will be a miracle. I like Roy Williams, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if we got some value for him. Then again this is the Lions.
