I can't understand this projection. Detroit will likely be playing from behind, and even if they aren't Jones will likely see at least 5-6 targets in Martz system. I'm not one to hate on projections, this might be my first time in 3-4 years doing so....but that just seems way off. For someone trying to decide between Jones, Brown and Rhodes....this isn't very helpful. :D

I don't feel 2 catches is way off... I think 3 (or maybe 4) sounds a bit better personally... and it could be higher for the reasons you mentioned (Martz system and playing from behind).

Sea and Chi could be tough for KJ owners right out of the gate... but he then faces GB, Stl and Min.

If they're playing from behind then you'll see more empty backfields. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if Jones didn't register a single catch.

The Seahawks have one of the fastest (and smallest) D's in the league. They'll be all over any dink & dunk passes to Detroits RB's.

If Jones does pull in some receptions, don't expect them to amount to much.

no way, it's Martz

as an aside Reggie Bush is only projected for three catches. I think that this is another case of projection compression as dsicussed in the other projections thread.

Bryson and Calhoun are gonna get a majority of the catches in the Lions O from the backfield.
Can I borrow your chrystal ball? I'll return it tomorrow.
:D SureI've been saying it all year. About Bryson especially. He will be lined up all fullback a ton. The cutting of Harris just means that Calhoun will be moving behind K.Jones. Calhoun is a much better pass receiver than K.jones. End of the year stats will prove this out. Dont need a crystal ball for that.

Martz has praised Jones for his pass catching abilities this offseason. I don't see him coming out on 3rd down much.

I did see, however, that FBG updated projections have KJ with 3 catches.
