Kevin Jones (1 Viewer)

Solid player on an awful team. My guess is 1,200 rushing yards with a handful of TDs. Jones is a quality NFL starter. If he were on the Bengals he'd be a stud, but he's extremely limited by his supporting cast. Corey Dillon in the Bengal years might be a fair comparison.

Fantasy wise, his two toughest games are behind him. Although he does play CHI again week 16(Fantasy Superbowl). I own KJ in all three of my leagues and have been forced to pay close attention to all three Lions games this year. KJ is the focal point. Martz is trying to get him to play a similar role to Faulk a few years ago. He is catching a few balls a game which help in PPR and got his first TD last week. IMO, the offense is improving, I think it's only a matter of time before the Lions start to win some games. KJ is running well and it has been taking multiple defenders to take him down.

The main problem is that the Lions as a team are not that good and they will be playing from behind a lot. RB's get a lot of their stats during garbage time and I don't see KJ getting those opportunities.

Sorry if my opinion sounds a little biased, but it is.

I disagree with the last part of your post. The fact that KJ is proficient at catching the ball makes him very important in the Lions offense in garbage time. If all the receivers are covered, Kitna will/should simply dump it off to KJ in the flat for example. Since defenses in this scenario would be playing in dime coverage big chunks of yardage can be had for KJ in these sitations if he is catching the ball. If he wasn't involved in the passing game then i'd agree with you.

want to add that a Lions O-Line that came into the year rated average at best has experienced multiple injuries thus far although none that are, as of yet, considered to be serious. If they can at least get their starters back it would obviously help the entire offense somewhat.
