Kevin Kolb - Week 7 (1 Viewer)

ones gotta think that kolb is the starter rest of the way. i expect more controversy and a very disgruntled Vick.

Not necessarily. They could be waiting until after their week 8 bye to start Vick again. At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see one play a series and then the other play a series.

Interesting stats per ProFootballReference:

In the same number of games (4) Kolb has a better completion % for more yards and less sacks then Vick. But yes, Vick runs better.

I don't see why they would rush Vick back as long as Kolb is playing well.
This. Get Vick as healthy as possible before throwing him back out to the wolves. With his style, it's in the team's best interest for him to be totally healthy before getting back in. Kolb's good play gives Reid the luxury of not "needing" Vick to come back before he's completely recovered.

With Tenn due up next week I see Kolb remaining the starter. Bye week follows. Should Kolb lead Philly to another win and play as he has, things will be real interesting on this board leading up to week 9.

Yes and no.Yes Kolb is the starter...until he gets injured. I don't expect Vick to be disgruntled. This is the way he got in the lineup in the first place and he and Kolb are supposedly friends.Kolb looks awfully good.

Updating previous items, Eagles coach Andy Reid did not commit to Michael Vick as his starting quarterback during Sunday night's post-game press conference.

Reid said only, 'Yeah, he's a starting quarterback now." The Eagles' team-released transcript claimed Reid had said, "Yeah, he's the starting quarterback." The job appears to be back up for grabs, with Kevin Kolb beating down the door to move back on top. Kolb would go a long way toward supplanting Vick by beating the Titans in Week 7. The Eagles have a bye in Week 8.
I don't really get where Rotoworld is getting what they're saying here, but FWIW.

everyone has jumped on the fact that Reid said at the press conference that Vick is "a" starting QB (rather than "the"), in response to a question about who would start week 7I appears the Eagles website cleaned up the quote in their transcript to say "the" - although that is not really what was said

I think this is one of those times here the written transcript is misleading. The reporters were peppering him with questions about who would be his starting QB and Reid was being completely non-committal by answering in half-sentences with a look on his face that clearly showed his answers weren't meant to be taken seriously.I wouldnt read anything at all into the transcript.

I could see starting week 9 Andy going with

9 - Indy - Vick

10 - @Wash - Kolb

11 - NYG - Vick

12 - @Chi - Kolb

13 - Hou - Vick

14 - @Dal - Kolb

15 - @NYG - Vick

16 - Minny - Kolb

17 - Dal - Vick

It is a tough schedule Reid should just go back and forth and screw up all the opposing teams game plans. I think it is genious.
