Kevin Ogletree to start this Sunday (1 Viewer)

Kevin Ogletree - WR - Cowboys

The Cowboys will start Kevin Ogletree at X receiver in Week 2 if Dez Bryant (thigh, questionable) is inactive.

The Cowboys just don't have any wide receiver depth, which is why they'll push Bryant hard to play. Ogletree has never performed well enough for coach Jason Garrett to use three receivers, and has a career high of 38 yards. If Bryant does sit, Ogletree won't be a fantasy option against San Francisco.

I would never play Ogletree even if he did start. He is not that good. I would play someone like Hartline over Ogletree any day of the week. I only mention Hartline because he also would be a risky start in most FF leagues.

depends on what you need. Ogletree has the potential for a bigger game. Hartline will get you 3 for 50 of something of that nature. Ogletree wouldn't surprise me if he had a 3 100 1 game, but he could also go catchless. Before Miles Austin broke loose (just using this as an example), many people thought Sam Hurd was better and it took injury for him to get his chance. I think there is more to Ogletree than people give him credit. In previous years, there was buzz about him but he was buried. Now he has a shot people keep doubting him

I think we have seen all that Hartline has to offer. He will be solid and unspectacular but I don't think he has special upside or a particularly special QB. I don't think we have any idea what Ogletree is capable of, he may be turrible, but he has a great QB and Dallas doesn't run a lot of 3WR sets. Personally I would roll the dice on the upside.

There are times you play the safer player. Ogletree isn't a high upside player, so why take the risk? I'd rather have 10 points out of Hartline than an 80% chance of a goose egg from Oglebad.

That's pretty deep of a pick. I think with all of the other guys out there that are available, rolling the dice with this guy is poor decision making. This is one of those situations where even if he blew it up, I would still tell you there is no way I would have started him in a 14 team league. If you have a hunch I would suggest leaving him on the Radar and not the roster... but if the spirit compels you roster him... If you like winning, I would not let him into your lineup.

With the game being a late start I'm sure several Dez Bryant owners are in the position I am. Which is just bench Dez and start another WR in a 1:00pm game or wait and risk having to start a lesser WR if Dez doesn't go. I tried to pick up Decker as a late game cover but missed out. Are there any other potential WW WRs with late starts worth a look this week?

Brandon Gibson, Mike sims Walker, Jacoby Jones, Crabtree, Braylon Edwards, Eddie Royal, It really depends on who is available, any of those guys would be better than ogletree, IMO.

The starting #2 WR in Dallas is a high upside position. We know almost nothing about Ogletree's ability. I admit he carries much more risk but you can't discount the reward until we actually see him on the field. I am honestly not expecting much from the guy but I would take his upside in the Dallas offense over Hartline's in Miami.

Again, Oglebad doesn't have any upside, whether #2 on Dallas or not. They simply will make Witten #2, or Phillips, Jones....
