Kicking a man while he is down... I mean wayyyy down (1 Viewer)

Ok, a man I know recently died. Always really nice to me and others that I know.

Now a lady that worked with him has come out on Facebook and posted that while she worked with him , he couldn't keep his hands to himself.  In this case it can't even be a "she said / he said" , because he is dead. I just think it’s classless.

I actually took myself off of Facebook. The only time I've been on since March was when people wished me a happy birthday at the end of August.

Well, if someone is going to make an unprovable accusation, then it's better to make it after he's dead than while he's alive.

Terrible.

Friend of mine from HS was a pathological liar his entire life. And pretty much everything in his life not right in front of him was fabricated: education, work, achievements, etc. Only thing true in his life were his relationships, and he was a truly fun, charismatic and charming guy.

I say "was" because he committed suicide as a result of massive money issues. I found this out on FB, and was heartbroken. After reading all the comments from people who were his friends but clearly didn't know this crucial side of him, it was really tempting to point it out. But what ####### good would it have done, other than besmirch the happy and good memory so many of his legitimate friends had of his less than legitimate life.

Screw that woman.

The only way this would be okay is if this guy some how silenced her from telling while he was alive, so followed her on Facebook, threatened to fire her or have her fired, or physical violence.

Even then though Facebook is an odd way to go about it, there would be better channels.

Just playing devil's advocate. I don't know the guy or the whole story.

Just because someone dies doesn't make them a good person.

True, I hope it didn't happen, but anything is possible. I just hate the timing. Everyone is grieving him on facebook locally and she posted that.

I remember this story that you told. It was moving and confusing, to say the least. I have no idea what to say other than offer my condolences and tell you that his life was well-lived if he made yours better.

It's so odd, the things we do.

I hate suicide. I wish he was around.

This may come s a shock to you but, in general, people suck. The internet only serves to magnify this tenfold.
