Q . You've said you'll miss Kevin Jones and T.J. Duckett, two running backs who won't be back. How do you feel about the roster moves?

A . The one thing that Rod has done is really try to unify the whole organization, from top down. He's worked hard at that. He's had to make some really tough decisions -- part ways with some very talented people, both players and coaches. In the best interests of the team, that's what he's tried to do. I trust that with Rod.

I think he's still trying to build the youth and depth of the team -- that attitude and the locker room he's looking for, in terms of having leaders and people that want to be led.

He's never shied away from that, both in the media and to us, behind closed doors: "If you don't want to be here, it's not that I don't like you or I don't think you can play. Let's part ways. Let's go a different direction."

There is a lot more in the link I provided.It would be quite ironic if Jon Kitna ends up getting cut... I wouldn't be surprised at all. The Lions might as well just play for the future now and we all know that Jon Kitna isn't that QB.

On another note, Kitna says the Lions have had to part with some very talented people. The Lions don't have that many talented people, so if indeed they believe they got rid of talented people, they obviously don't know what they're doing because when you're as bad as they are, you don't get rid of talented people.

Whatever Lions, shoot for your 8-8 season and come up a little short again. Raise ticket prices in a state where a recession hit a couple years ago, where the Pistons/Tigers/ and Red Wings all are quality teams and you're a piece of _____.
