Not even a Kitna owner.... honestly this guy sucks.... he has an ###load of talent at receiver... he's like a magnet for interceptions and bad decisions.

Just for reference sake, does a ####load of talent drop multiple passes that hit them in the hands? I've seen two in this game that should/could have been caught. One was(n't) for a touchdown.

He is not playing that well, but to be fair, the Lions pass blocking has not been good, yet they still keep calling plays that take forever to develop, so he either gets sacked or has to make a throw under major pressure.

Megatron has been Megasuck.

Kitna looks fine. Needs some help from the receievers and line.

At leastthe RBs are helping. Maybe he should stick to the other weapons and avoid Calvin.

for the sake of being fair... calvin johnson has stone hands today... i dont think he's dropped this many passes in his whole college/professional career.

This is bang on. The Lions are losing b/c of Calvin Johnson today.

Johnson doesn't seem interested at all in catching the ball.

Don't they have enough talent at WR that they can throw to someone else?

I thought that Kitna was way overrated this season; he had one good year and drafters went nutz over it....

but as others have pointed out, this games isn't all his fault. His WRs are dropping balls, his O-Line stinks (doesn't help when you play against a very good Defense), and now Martz is stepping away from what looked like a very successful run attack; jeez, get TJ back out there.

Very tough not to be antsy when you know the pass rush will be on you two seconds after the snap every play, as it has been most of the year.

I don't see how this is Kitna's fault today. Outside of the INT which was horrible, he has had an awful lot of dropped balls and pressure out the wazoo today. I don't blame this one on him. And yet somehow the Lions defense is keeping them in the game.

Megatron looks awful today. Perhaps they should have held him out another week.

Lion homer here, he is a great leader and tough guy but the more I see him the more I start to worry. Holding on to the ball too long is insane, but Martz is also to blame for part of that. Last week I was at the game and could not believe that he threw a jump ball up for grabs to a smurf with plenty of time left.

For me bottom line is he holds on to the ball waaaay toooo long and will throw the ball up for grabs way too much!

I'm very tempted in dropping him....but for who? Cutler is available...I don't know, just wish his O-line protected better

I know he isn't a Pro Bowl QB or anything, but I like Kitna. He is tough, a good leader, and gives his all. I like to watch him play.

yeah, ill rephrase... not terrible... he's better then joey harringtons of the world but i still don't think he can bring any team to the next level.

Kitna isnt so bad. He's a good leader thats brought his team into playoff contention. His recievers let him down today and his line is plain horrible. Even on the plays when his line gives him some time he is so jittery with his footwork like his going to get hit. If the team had a better offensive line and some more secondary help they would be a lock for a top 3 NFC team.

Kitna is just bad. Take away his cannon and hes watching football from his lazyboy. Yes Calvin was not as aggressive as one would hope but this guy is still young and is growing mentally. He played afraid today period. over and over he was trying to catch passes from behind the defender-chalk that up to a bad pass or bad route but I think more experience will help him develop that killer instinct. Going back to Kitna though, having had him rostered for 2 years (backing up Brady) Ive watched enough games going back to Cincy. We all know he's been average at best with big play potential given the right weapons. Now in Detroit his slow decision making in addition to a weak Oline is killing all other DET skill players. They really need some mobility at QB and Kitna is looking like Bledsoe at the end of his carreer. At the end of the day it's hard to complain as Detroit is better than theyve been in a long time. I wouldnt be quick to hand Detroit's success to Kitna as Ive read in here. The defense has made some plays WHEN IT HAS COUNTED to help win games. they have a very tough YOUNG offense and we're watching the development of what will be a top 3 offense sooner than later. I just dont understand why Kitna wouldnt throw the dam% ball away after making his 3rd read -maybe even his 2nd..Id be fine with 15-20 balls thrown to the cameraman. Its sad but true with him at the controls. Be decisive and be quick. If nothings there then nothings there. hell Kevin Jones can catch the 2 yard dumpoff and at least not lose yards. Not sure why this frustrates me as a Browns homer but Id really like to see Detroit in the playoffs. Getting real hard to watch my longtime #2 team anymore (Pats) need a new underdog to support. GO BROWNS!

What Kitna brings to the table is HEART, and TOUGHNESS. There's a reason he's not playing for the seahawks. He tends to make mistakes. He doesn't exactly have all the physical attributes to be a great nfl qb, and he doesn't exactly have all brains in the world. But he's a fighter, and has a short memory. Those attributes is what keeps him playing in the NFL. He'll never bring a team to the promise land unless he's backed up by a stellar Defense. And even then maybe not. You saw tonight that he can throw a terrible INT when they are protecting a marginal lead. he did the same thing with the Seahawks. QB's that are flighty even with a lead are dangerous. He's good enough to get teams to the playoffs. But he's always going to make that big mistake that will stop them from winning the big one. just an opinion from someone that has watched him a lot. That being said. I'm rooting for him. I always liked him because of his brett favre like toughness. But that's where the comparisons stop. He brought the seahawks and the bengals to the playoffs. and could possibly bring the lions there as well. But doing much once he gets there is a long shot.

I don't know , he looks very good in Az this year...Not sure its a matter of the game speed passing him by, or if its more a matter of the Martz System falling to pieces..Kitna is an also-ran QB...he was grossly overrated heading into this season, and is now starting to show his true colors..

Heart and toughness and leadership are all fine and dandy, but if you can't deliver on gameday, its all useless..

yes, Martz' system is lousy.yes, his WR's drop too many balls.

but for a guy with 143 career TD's to 138 ints, (a near 1:1 ratio), he's simply NOT a very good QB..

You can re-arrange the letters of his name to spell I Tank. I wonder if you can re-arrange his mind to make him look at recievers other than a double-covered Calvin Johnson once in a while.

Yeah, I agree. It seems like people forgot this guy started elsewhere, and he had some talent to work with before. I think he's very average at best. He's basically filling the role best suited for him which is being the starter of a team that isn't that great. He's Mr. 8-8 in my book, meaning he's very average, and he'll probably get the Lions to 8-8, maybe 9-7.
