KJ to get 20+ touchs on Sunday? (2 Viewers)

Da Guru

Fair & Balanced
If history is correct KJ will get 17-20 rushs and 4-6 receptions on Sunday.

Marinelli has had a fit 3 times this year over the play calling. After The first two times Jones got over 20 touches for the following game. Marinelli was not happy after the Minny game. Will history repeat itself?

I don't know, but I can't afford to take that chance. Luckily with Addai & R.Grant starting...I don't have to.

If we have any chance in hell to beat the Boys, we need to try and run, control the clock and keep the Cowboys offense off the field.

So no, he will not get that many touches......FIRE MILLEN

100% guaranteed. They are going to lose but Jones is a mortal lock for 150-175 total yards and at least two scores.Jones should be the #1 RB on everyone's board this week. He's looking at 25-30 carries and 8-10 recepts minimum. No Roy Williams. No pass protection. No way to stop JJones, Romo, Barber, Witten, Crayton on D.DET has to shorten the game and keep their D off the field. Jones might get 80% of the Lions' touches this week. Even if the Lions are down by three TD's in the third quarter, they'll still be getting the ball to KJ on every play. Jones owners can't lose this week.

You playing against KJ?

If you're depending on Lions to win playoff games for you, my apologies. I went with the blood $ move and picked up Dallas D this week. I'm thinking this will turn out like the last 5 thanksgiving games--the Lions get blown out at home.

 but the problem is that Martz in Still calling the shot.

Mortal lock? How much do you value your mortality?I hope you are right, because I may have to play him over Freddy Jackson if Lynch plays. But seriously... have you watched any Lions games this year?

As someone who's watched all their games this year, there's zero chance of that happening. KJ might get 20 touches but he won't have >50 total yds.

Allot of what you are saying is true and would be the correct adjustments... then again we are talking Mike Martz here. What they do... who they have. That doesn't enter into Martz's mind. He has never been about ball control or worrying about his team's defense. So normal thinking does not apply. Once they get down by 10 points... Jones will be out and Cason will be in and Kitna will be airing it out. Even if he is on his back every other play.

Good to see Martz go to the Lions patented quote when talking about the running game today. I swear this quote has come up in every Lions press conference since Millen came in.

"I can appreciate what you're saying. We're normally good at that and I'm very well aware of that. We're working like crazy and there are some things we're going to do this week to help that. There are some good reasons for that which I think we've addressed and we're going to get fixed.''

Was that today and did he say the same thing before the Green Bay game??

I'm thinking KJ gets a lot of touches, but I can't risk it. If he goes off it'll be on my bench. K. Smith, Fargas, and R. Bush will all get at least 20 touches FOR SURE.

LoL.....wow "mortal lock for 150-175 total yards and at least two scores". No RB has put up those kind of numbers against the dallas Def all year

Nor has K.J., against much weaker defenses. That is funny.

When will you guys learn? H.K. simply tries to get a rise out of people. Don't pay attention to his posts as more than entertaining.

So who's the damn head coach anyway, Marinelli or Martz? If Marinelli doesn't like the way the game is being called, why don't he just pull the play calling from Martz and do it himself? What's Martz going to say, "I'll take my ball and go home"?

You playing against KJ? :goodposting:
Dallas has a pretty good run defense, how does the loss of Roy Williams, the fact Detroit has no pass protection, and the whatever on Dallas offense equate to these crazy numbers from K Jones.First, Dallas will stop the run first because of NO Roy Williams. Then can single cover the rookie and stack the box to stop any running game Detroit tries to establish. K Jones didn't even had 10 yards last week did he? I don't think this is going out on a limb, but I don't think K Jones will even get 85 total yards and that's with 30 touches.

Jones is just too risky a play.......It's not like I have a much better choice in Rudi as my #2 RB I just see Rudi as a lock for 15-20 carries and he could get into the end zone. I Think KJ has more upside than Rudi but Rudi's floor is not as low.

This is the choice that many will have to make gamble on KJ or take the points you know you can get out of another RB. I say take the points!

I'd say Calvin is just as risky of a play (and I'm gonna start him in 3 playoff games) You just never know what to expect with this offense, thanks to the RTards calling the shots...

There's this guy I know, a friend of mine, trying to choose two guys between Kevin Jones, Norwood, and Brandon Jacobs this week. Of course I told him to take it somewhere else, this wasn't a WDIS thread! But then I started to wonder, abstractly if you know what I mean, about his situation. Gee, what do you think?

What about the "history" of Week 17 last year?Kitna 28-42-306-4-1 with 5-25 rushingKJ didn't play, but Harris and Cason had 20 combined carries for 60 yards (but 6-56 receiving).

Detroit will try to run early, but unless Jones breaks one, they will have little success. However, i see KJ catching alot of passes this week, particularly in the 2nd hald during garbage time.

15 carries, 58 yards

9 catches, 65 yards

65% chance of a TD.

Was debating between Evans/KJ. Guess I surprisingly couldn't of went wrong.

The thing is the Lions should be running even more and killing clock.

Luckily at the last moment I benched Kolby Smith for Kevin Jones! That was a tough decision coming into the week but luckily it paid off.

 Even though KJ went off, I still made the right call. (didn't matter, I won by 30pts)
