Just came across my Facebook page from the Denver Broncos that Knowshon would not be playing this weekend.

So does Maroney make his starting debut or do they roll with Buckhalter?

It's not on their website yet. I'm always skeptical about twitter/facebook for real information..unless it's from a guy like Schefter or Jay Glazer

twitter has him questionable.

his acct could have been hacked, used by a buddy for a joke....i'll wait for something more official but thx for posting.

Knowshon Moreno out vs. Indy Week 3

Posted Fri Sep 24th by Kyle

Knowshon Moreno has sustained an injury in practice this week that will keep him out against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels just announced.

McDaniels said he expects recently acquired running backs Laurence Maroney and Andre Brown to aid Correll Buckhalter and contribute in the running game.

Don't know Kyle too well...

Sounds like Moreno did it in practice but I have to say that 15/60 and 17/51 are not going to keep you in the starting role forever either.

Just speculating but I wonder if Josh is trying to shake things up. I'm sure he wants to try and not make the Indy game a shootout even though it will be.

KFFL just reported it, too.

(KFFL) Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno (undisclosed) will not play in Week 3 because of an undisclosed injury, reports CBSSports.com.

All jokes aside facebook and twitter have become legitimate sources of information. Of course you have to take sources into consideration but I am increasingly becoming aware of breaking news and learing about things via social media. Not so much for FF but for a lot of other things. And I suspect that more and more sports/FF news will go "viral" via this outlets as well.

It's a different world out here.

Bump the Broncos passing game I guess? I would say Royal gets the biggest bump if they sub in a few more short passes for runs. I wouldn't trust anyone in that backfield that weekend over solid starters but you could probably do worse than Buckhalter.

I monitor a feed that goes to sportsbooks so they can adjust lines on injuries and it was out for them at 10:07 PST

Thanks for posting this. Please continue to post news you come across - some of us actually appreciate it.

How quickly we forget how the Texans handled their 'shootout' with the Colts in week 1. This may mean big stats for someone. Key is figuring out who.

Hard to get excited about Buckhalter in any event.
642 yards and 5.3 rpc and another 240 reception yards last year when Moreno was ailing. Only 1 TD is a little soft, but as a guy stashed away on my bench, I think Buckhalter can be serviceable as a flex play depending on matchup (and of course the health of Moreno).Where would Maroney figure in all of this? Is he healthy enough to go?

Henry's depth charts had him listed as Maroney(inj) last time I checked behind Buckhalter

Maroney practiced fully on Thursday and is probable.

Wouldn't be suprised to see McDaniels try out his new toy. Maroney in my opinion has the most upside here if Moreno is out for an extended period.

I think the Giants game is a better comparison (Colts will score at will on the Broncos like they did on the Giants) and Buckhalter is no Bradshaw.

 I "like" The Pittsburgh Steelers on facebook and I've seen news break on their feed before anywhere else.
