Kohl's has terrible customer service (1 Viewer)

In a way, shouldn't you be thanking Kohl's for sending you a pillow that your fiance likes so much?

If i were you i would celebrate and order something for myself from Kohl's every Christmas and hope they keep sending you something similar that your fiance (and later wife) will enjoy. That's some easy gift giving that money cannot buy. I think their customer service is remarkable bordering on creepy good.

:)

I'm still confused. Since you kept it, what are you expecting?
I kept the first pillow. But they told me in order to get the correct pillow, I had to place a new order. I asked about a discount since they messed up and they said order the pillow and they will then give the discount. I ordered the pillow again and they said the discount will be 15% off my NEXT purchase. They acted like the discount would be applied to the order of this pillow.

Also, the pillow they sent me was $20 cheaper and when I ask when that refund will be credited, they don't mention it.

So I spent $100 on two pillows when I only originally wanted 1 pillow for $50. But to make it even worse, the 2 pillows would normally cost $80. So, in reality, I gave them a $20 discount for messing up my order.

I'll give you $20 for both pillows

Shiek,

You should call up Kohl's customer service and be all like:

"Coupon? My daughter is throwing up i'm gonna take you to court! i'm gonna take you to court!

Kohl's: Sir you wanna give me a second i'll write this up please? If you want i'll give you a number and you like call it by yourself if you don't believe me.

C: (starts to get angry) Shut the #### up! I'm gonna kill you! You do not treat me like this! My daughter's sick, my wife is sick and now you're talking about coupons? What kind of business is this? I'm going to... I'm going to bomb that place. What kind of people are you? My friend this is not good business."

I missed this the first time around. Now Im on board with you. Kohls does have terrible customer service.

Or

"Is this because I'm black?!?!"

Yah, that's different than how I originally understood it. Well minus keeping the first pillow. That's on you.

But yeah you should at least get that 20 back.

I guess some people are picturing me boiling over with rage or something. I am honestly one of the most happy go lucky guys there is. I rarely ever get mad. Most people who know me will tell you they've never seen me mad. Just doesn't happen very often.

Now, when I type, I use words like "angry", "furious", "infuriated" and such. But these are just words to help the story along. So if you read what I've wrote and thought I'm pounding out letters on my keyboard, it couldn't be further from the truth.

I hate kohls because of their coupon = primary pricing business model. Has anyone in the history of ever actually bought your ####ty Croft & Barrow store-brand pants for $69.99? Who do you think you're kidding with this 30% off promotion/coupon?

Also, my GF's company sells product to them and apparently they are epically cheap... forcing you to cheapen your product from the original version to meet their crappy price points. Rest assured, anything you're buying there is a ####ty value-engineered version of a similar model elsewhere.
Their "regular" prices are hilarious.

I hit up Kohls 2-3 times a year. Never bought anything that wasn't on a clearance rack. It's pretty funny because you'll see something and say "hmmmm, $20 isn't too bad for this shirt...lemme check the original price...$68! Who pays that for Apt. 9 crap?"
:lmao: Yeah, that's good shtick. Amazon had a Black Friday deal on a women's watch, regular price $986.00, sale price $39.99.
WifeMInd: "Honey! I saved over $900 while shopping today!"

OMG, I don't know how you've been able to function today after such effrontery. I do hope Kohl's learns a valuable lesson in customer service after this ordeal.

That is an extra wrinkle.

Such a weird case as they sent you the wrong item that had the right SKU or w/e AND you deciding to keep it. Could've totally been explained in person or in a phone call, but in an email you probably seem like a Nigerian prince to them.

What probably really happened is that Sheik got distracted by some kind of mundane weather event and clicked and ordered the wrong pillows. Of course Kohl's is to blame.

We know. I agree that most mega-corporation customer service blows goats these days.

 At first, I was sure it was my mistake. I was kind of upset with myself because I've been known to rush through things and make mistakes. So when I looked at the order, I was relieved to see it was not my fault.

The new pillow arrived today. Just got a UPS notification for it. I can only hope, for the sake of this story, that it is the wrong pillow again. I mean, I really would like to use the new pillow I ordered, but for entertainment purposes, it would be much better if the wrong pillow arrived. Or if a fire pit. Fingers crossed.

I've built this pillow up in my mind so much now, there's no way it can live up to the expectations. This purchase process was doomed from the start.

I stopped by Kohl's this afternoon and the woman there said she never heard of an Iron Sheik and wasn't familiar with the 2 pillows. I tried!

There is the great place called Amazon.com that offers exceptionally fast delivery and has incredible customer service. You should check it out sometime.

lol this reminds me. My friends wife gave her a 25 dollar gift card to Amazon that someone else have to her. She said she doesn't like anything from Amazon. I was like Wtf? Amazon asks everything so saying you don't like Amazon is like saying you don't like anything.

Post their customer service email address so that we can spam them with fantasy football advice and penis pictures.

At checkout they've asked me to sign up for a Kohl's card roughly eleventy billion times. For some reason I find it more annoying when I get asked there versus other stores. They seem more pushy about it. I've stopped shopping there because of it.

The cashier gets a commission every time a customer says yes and they are told to do that.

I ordered from ##### Sporting Goods on Friday. They emailed me today to say one of the items was OOS and was canceled. They then gave me 25% off my next order.

The world isn't all bad. Happy Holidays!!!

Best Buy pulled the same stunt, but didn't offer me anything. That's what I get for trying to order from those bums. How do they not know it's out of stock at the time you order it?

I just cancelled the item and found it somewhere else. All this anger/energy over simple crap ain't worth it.

The one time I went completely bat#### crazy was something like this happened. We were out furniture shopping. I bought a bedroom set and I think living room set at a well know store. We had some delivery issues from the store but I didn't blame the store for that. Something was missing, a couch was ripped but they came back with everything a couple days later. So a week later we went back to look for out final piece, an entertainment unit.

We looked everywhere and found the one we wanted, in the same store. So the guy says sorry we don't have any in stock but I'm showing 10 in the main warehouse. It will take a little longer but I can get it for you.

Awesome sounds great! We are done furniture shopping!!!!!!!!

Salesman: Can you take delivery on Wednesday, 3 weeks out.

Me: Yes no problem, thanks so much.

Tuesday before delivery. I get an automated phone call. We're sorry your order is out of stock, we will not be able to deliver. You will not be charged for the order.

ME:

I call customer service and politely read them the riot act. Sorry nothing they can could have done to prevent it.. It was a Seinfeld episode. I bought the furniture but you didn't hold the furniture. As this keeps playing out I'm just getting angry, I told them i didn't complain about the delivery mixups etc but now this.

Sorry sir but we will give you a 100 credit towards your next purchase.

I said do you honestly think I will buy from your ####ty store again.

The woman was silent.

i said no thanks and hung up.

Then felt like a #### for raging
