Whether it's completely legit, or not (and I think it's somewhat suspect), Kornheiser DOES have an FFL Team...
The Washington Post has a Staff Writer who lucked into the job of being the "FF Editor", I'm sure by default, because in his online chats, which I've 'lurked' on, he's yet to provide any analysis outside the realm of common sense...
...his name is Gene Wang. Take that for what it's worth...
...to the best of my knowledge, although I, and others, have questioned him about this, he has yet to provide a link to the 'League' he plays in...
From the Washington Post, Thursday, 10/12/06:
Gene's Team: 'Really it's not my team. It's more Tony Kornheiser's 'Monday Night Football' team. You can bet I'll be taking all the credit if it does well, but if it flops, I'll blame Tony for undermining my draft strategy...' :nice out, tool:
nittany's note: Indicates that he doesn't take FF all that seriously. fla\/\/ed...
Week 6 Starters:
Eli Manning, Rudi Johnson, Brian Westbrook, Santana Moss, Mike Furrey, Alge Crumpler, Shayne Graham, Cowboys...
Opponent:
McNabb, Dunn, FWP, Dre Johnson, Chambers, Cooley, Gould, Bears...
Season Record 5-0...hmm...
INSIDE THE MATCHUP: (Don't feel like typing all this)
QB ELI MANNING, NYG: (In my own words) tough matchup
RB RUDI JOHNSON: (IMOW) favorable matchup
WR MIKE FURREY: (IMOW) Dropped

(yes, I know it's a bye week for him) Greg Jennings, to pick him up...favorable matchup
PK ROBBIE GOULD: (IMOW) Dropped Shayne Graham to pick him up...favorable matchup
No mention of Rashied Davis, WR or otherwise...
PLAYERS YOU SHOULD START: (His analysis)
Donovan McNabb (Early Leader for League MVP)
Rex Grossman (A must-play until further notice)
Philip Rivers (Developing well as a 1st year starter)
Willis McGahee (Favorable matchup for League's third-leading rusher)
Tatum Bell (Almost anyone playing the Raiders is a must-start)
Ronnie Brown (Jets have surrendered League-worst 11 Rushing TD's)
Andre Johnson (Bye week reward is secondary with shaken confidence)
Chris Cooley (Starting to become a bigger part of Al Saunders' offense)
Darrell Jackson (Two weeks of rest means fresh legs)
PLAYERS YOU SHOULD BENCH:
Andrew Walter (Mile High Atmosphere won't be kind to first-year starter)
Matt Leinhart (Has never faced a D this good)
Travis Henry (Running game may be scrapped if Titans fall behind early)
DeShaun Foster (Angry Ravens D at home is a poor matchup)
Michael Clayton (Has little FF Value right now)
Joe Horn (Getting lost in the mix between Reggie Bush, Marques Colston)
Talking Fantasy? Fantasy Football Chat every Thursday at washingtonpost.com...
To his marginal credit, his 'article' this week was titled: 'Leinart Could Buck History Of Unreliable Rookie QB'
Wang's Column appears every Thursday in the Post. His Online Chat is every Thursday Afternoon at the above listed address...
NOTE: If this post seems to have a negative slant...well...it does. It should be noted that I absolutely revile the Post, as it's a liberal leaning rag that seldom reports the news in any sort of an objective manner, and makes the local, County-oriented Gazette appear to be a legitimate news source, which is a joke in itself. If you want the facts about what's going on in Metro Washington, and surrounding areas in MD and VA, you are MUCH better off reading the Washington Times. The Times' Sports Section leaves a lot to be desired, but Jody Foldesy appears to have a reasonably realistic view of the happenings of the Redskins. Jason La Canfora, the Post's Redskins beat writer, is much more realistic, and close to the facts when he's interviewed live on the air than he is in print, which puzzles me because...
...The Post and The Redskins have a bit of a feud going since The Post had several sets of Season Tickets taken from them by The Daniel, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - the Post's Independant Columnists, wh have Nationally Respected bylines, can call them out like they see it, and the more of that that goes on, the better...well, that's for another post. I HATE The Daniel...
All that aside:
I suggest that anyone and everyone who gives a nut about legitimate, quality FF coverage in National Newspapers get involved in this online chat on Thursdays, and expose this Wang guy for the novice he is. It's a complete mockery to our revered hobby that this 'know nothing' is being paid, handsomely I'm sure, to put out a half-page of FF Info every week in a highly regarded news source (which The Post is, regardless of how misguided the folks who think so, are)...
...don't tell him about FBG's, though - people being PAID to produce FF Analysis should do their own legwork, rather than 'cribbing' off the hard work of others...JMHO...
... :rant over: ..., but it had to be said...
