Kurt Cobain - Montage of Heck Documentary (1 Viewer)

Surprised more people are blaming Courtney and no blame on his mother and even his father to a certain extent.

I.would put all of his psychosis on the fact that his mother basically threw him out like a piece of garbage. That manifested when Courtney was "thinking" of having an affair
Only going off of what I saw in the documentary:

The mother/father (moreso the mother) abandonment are the root of his issues clearly.,...however once Kurt put all his trust in Courtney and he thought he had the family he had always wanted....Courtney allegedly cheating and enabling behaviors made it easier to blame her. Also, I'm sure there's a bit of "she ruined Nirvana" vs. Kurt's parent's just ruined a kid in there too.

I wasn't a huge Nirvana fan so I didn't really know that much about Cobain. The doc was a really good look into his life and was well done.

The best part about grunge was that it killed the hair metal scene. And Soundgarden was great!

I think someone will one day have to explain the mystery of how some people can find themselves with everything, talent, any woman they want, fame, the easy life, the sweet life, whatever, and still can't find the cure for what ails them inside.

But he also had a real physical ailment, what was that actually? Was that caused by the way he sang (as he described it) or did he have some actual physical condition. The guy could have gotten literally any doctor in the world. Of course if Love had really loved him, that would have been item 1 on her agenda.
Kurt was already a heavy heroin user by the time he found success. No one is going to survive a heroin addiction + an enabling Courtney Love + millions of dollars instantly.

"I didn't think I needed two people from Nirvana," the director told Rolling Stone at Sundance, where the doc premiered, in January.

...well that shows he's not a good director as it is a glaring omission that takes your focus off of the doc, IMO

^^ I agree 17seconds. The director spent 8 years on this ####### project! Seems lazy but then again I'm not a film director.
