Kurt Warner (1 Viewer)

The fact that the receiving family DOESN'T KNOW who gave them the free dinner is what makes it good. It's not necessarily about agonizing over who deserves it most, but doing a random, unexpected act of kindness like that that might just spur the recipient to do something similar.

I think the real question here is: Should Kurt Warner pay for a dinner if the other family cooked their steak well done?

I think a well-done steak should disqualify you from receiving a free meal, b/c you chose to waste a decent piece of meat.

:goodposting: :coffee: :excited: It really pains me also to see a nice steak destroyed by being cooked till well-done.

Like politics, I hate when beliefs (religion) are thrown in my face. Having said that, Warner always seemed like a stand up guy. His wife does run her a mouth a little too much though. Especially back in the Rams days.
And I hate when guys compain about religion getting thrown in their face when clearly it is NOT being thrown in their face

Kind of off topic from the steak dinner discussion, but how long do you guys see Warner starting this season? He almost singlehandedly put the Cards down 34 points in the first half with the 4 to's (6 total on the day!). It's clear that the fumble problems remain. Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Cards (2-2) draw the Bills next week and then the Boys. They'll be 2-4 two weeks from now. Will that be Leinart time?

So.... Why are people still talking about this. He paid for someones tab, he has lots of money he can do that. What is the BFD, this is no different than a guy at a bar buying a round for someone. Seriously you guys are worse than a sewing circle. Why include politics and religion in this?

The guy's a multi-millionaire and you people are slobbering over the fact that he pays some dude's $50 restaurant tab.

While practicing in Washington, D.C., last week, the Cardinals visited Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Quarterback Kurt Warner went outside to throw passes to a few soldiers. One soldier with a prosthetic leg jumped to make a catch and broke his prosthesis when he landed. Warner ended up signing his autograph on the broken prosthesis.

Maybe he will buy the guy dinner also

Warner said that story wasn't quite true. The guy was a high school QB and asked if they could throw the ball around. His prosthesis fell apart while throwing when the two of them were playing catch.Still cool that Warner visited the vets and would play catch with the guy.

Almost like he's playing God with dinner tabs.
It's always great to see someone find fault when someone is trying to do nice things. Keep doing what you do... :goodposting:
"Hey kids, watch daddy decide who gets to benefit from our charity and who doesn't." It's kinda sadistic. Plus, it's not like these people need the financial assistance -- if they're eating at a nice steakhouse, they're not hurting for money. I'd rather see him donate the equivalent amount to a soup kitchen.
You have got to be kidding me. You are criticizing the guy for teaching the kids to engage in random acts of kindness
It's not random. HTH.

We're nowhere near equal time for good deeds vs bad, does it really bother you enough to respond? Do we know if this is his only charitable venture?

I'd be surprised if Warner's charitability was limited to picming up dinner checks. But this tactic/practice seems a very good one to teach his children the value of generosity, kindness and looking out for ones fellow man in a simple and easy to understand way.

It is pretty widely known that Warner still does a ton of charity work back here in St. Louis, even though he doesn't play here anymore. Class guy all-around.
