L.Jordan - High Prelim Ranking -- Why? (1 Viewer)

Rounders

Footballguy
So I was going through my normal Wednesday morning ritual, cup of coffee, surfing through the FBG prelim rankings and I was caught of guard by L.Jordan's high ranking this week. My main concern is that last week Jordan split carries with Fargas, but it appears that Dodds and company think that will not be the case this week? :sadbanana:

Jordan is being projected for 17 carries while Fargas is being projected for 8?

How do you guys feel that Jordan will perform this weekend? Do you think that Dodds has predicted the correct split between these two?

The Raiders were in 2nd and long and 3rd and long all day vs Tenn (11 offensive penalties + 5 sacks) and were playing out of the shotgun. That seems to be Fargas' primary formation in the offense, and where he made the bulk of his yards vs. a Tenn D playing soft zones.

Against the Texans, if the Raiders are even a little more successful on first downs then they will be more likely to run in 2nd & 3rd down situations with the QB under center, which is where Lamont is used primarily.

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks Chaka!

(Rotoworld) Raiders coach Lane Kiffin says Justin Fargas' role in the Raiders' backfield will increase going forward.

Nice explanation Chaka. This shows that stats/numbers are often misleading. This is the type of info that is helpful on this site.

I didn't get the game last weekend, but when I asked about Jordan and Fargas' play on this board, someone told me that whenever Jordan was in, TEN stacked the line, and they didn't when Fargas was in......so the numbers don't always tell the story if that's true.

Can't find anything on Jordan's health. Is the back holding up? His performance last weekend killed me.
