Lamont Jordan -- His value going forward (1 Viewer)

PROS

- Jordan doesn't have a Maroney/Jerome Harrison/Lendale White player that's a real challenge for the #1 RB role

- The first 2 games were against tough defenses ... the rest of the schedule promises to be somewhat easier

- As laughable as it is, Art Shell did "write something down" about getting Jordan more involved in the passing game

CONS

- Brooks seems to prefer scrambling over looking to dump the ball off to Jordan under pressure

- If Brooks is out for long, defenses will probably key even more on the run with Walters at QB

- If Raiders OL doesn't improve, no one on their offense is going to be great fantasy value

So which option are you leaning toward, and more importantly, WHY?

(1) Hang on to (if you've got him already) / try to trade for him (if you don't have him already)

or

(2) Get rid of him/stay away from him

2) Dealt Jordan and Favre for DeShaun Foster and Philip Rivers. It's a keeper league and Rivers price tag as a potential keeper was appealing. I also have DeAngelo Williams to back up my acquisition of Foster. Finally, the performance of ABrooks and the whole Raiders team in the first 2 weeks scared me to death.

LJordan owner here.Walter playing is exactly what I am hoping for. Brooks is absolutely horrible and nothing is going to get done with that offense as long as he is playing.

I own Moss as Well.

Brooks out = good IMO.

If Walters starts and holds the job, he may tend to lean on his outlet and safety net guys a little more. Add that conjecture to Shell's "Pass the ball to LaMont" notetaking, and we could see Jordan bounce back nicely, especially in his next two games against weaker Ds.

Yes, I own LaMont. And I'm not dealing him for the squalor that is being offered to me. Maybe I'll deal him in 3 weeks though.

Ditched him and Engram for Branch and MBell. I have RBrown, Barlow and Addai/Rhodes and no desire for any Raiders on my squad.

What is this "Pass the ball to LaMont" notetaking stuff I've read about in several places?...

Good topic. I have been thinking of trading for him. His schedule looks better and he has to get better. I'm thinking that 1000 yards and 5-7 TDs going forward is attainable.

I just traded for him. Gave up Kevin Jones and picked up a good draft pick in the deal. I believe Lamont will outperform KJ by year's end.
