Hope this isn't too Assistant Coach, but who else is taking a flyer on Dunbar this week?

Reading good things about his explosiveness and ability to get to the edge, lthough that's not really been shown so far.

Is anyone else risking a start, other McCoy owners like me for instance. Who you starting him over?

any word on if he is starting or felix jones is able to play yet? I'm guessing we need to wait until tomorrow? Can't find any info from today.

Some places suggest he would only be a desperation rb3/flex. He hasnt had good numbers this year but everywhere is saying he would start ahead of tanner. I dont know how tanner ended up in the doghouse but dunbar is ahead of him now...

the only thing i can see is that tanner ended up in the doghouse for failing to get in the endzone when given the chance.

Coach Jason Garrett attributed Phillip Tanner's Week 9 demotion to special teams duties.Garrett apparently didn't want to overwork Tanner on offense, preferring instead to go with Lance Dunbar as the change-of-pace back. ESPN Dallas believes Dunbar is "shiftier and quicker" than fill-in starter Felix Jones, though the veteran is expected to draw the start again in Week 10. Nov 6 - 6:14 PM
Phillip Tanner played behind Lance Dunbar in the Cowboys' Week 9 loss to the Falcons. In a surprise depth chart change, Dunbar was the one rotating with starter Felix Jones. He ended up with eight carries for 26 yards compared to Tanner's one rush for zero yards. With Jones appearing to emerge from the game healthy and DeMarco Murray (foot) a possibility for Week 10, owners can safely move on from Tanner. Nov 5 - 8:44 AM
Phillip Tanner carried the ball twice for zero yards in Dallas' Week 8 loss to the Giants. He added one catch for 13 yards. Both of Tanner's carries came from the Giants' one-yard line, but he could convert neither into a score. With DeMarco Murray possibly on track for a Week 9 return, Tanner's probably no longer worth a speculative-bench spot. Oct 28 - 8:38 PM

Actually like Dunbar myself. May roll him out in a couple leagues as a flex if Fragile Felix is out.

I've been pumping Dunbar since Murray went down though (reference my Anti Felix Jones thread). His pro-day numbers were more explosive than Tanner's and he's very versatile. Check some of the preseason highlights to get a read on his explosiveness.

Local D-II kid with a chip on his shoulder that has steadily climbed the depth chart. I'm interested to see how this plays out..

the team cant run the ball, they have a horrible oline, playing vs a tough run def, and he may be splitting carries. whats to like?
