Lance Moore - Top 20 WR? (1 Viewer)

Hopefully last week isn't a sign of things to come for Moore with Graham back on the field
Whole offense was out of sync. Brees was terrible. Every WR is going to throw up a rough game once in awhile. I wouldn't worry about Moore and as posted above he's back in the dome against the Eagles, whose secondary was absolutely putrid against the Falcons. I think he's looking great this week.

Here's what Moore has done in the games he and Graham have both played:

6-120-1

2-30-0

4-70-1

7-67-0

3-25-0

I'll take that from a WR3 in PPR. Chances are given his ADP he's a WR4 or maybe WR5 on a lot of teams so he represents great value as always. Graham being back doesn't concern me. Brees loves Moore and Moore will continue to have a key role in the passing game. He won't deliver consistently but then again few WRs do. But he always has upside, especially in PPR leagues.

so I'm guessing the concern is that he would be 3rd or 4th in targets every week behind Graham, Colston and Sproles. Taken the target data:

Colston 10/game (up from 7.8, seems healthy and playing catch up)

Moore 8.8/game (up from 5.1... Meachem was 3.8, so maybe getting his looks and playing catch up)

Graham 8.7/game (down from 9.2 in 2011, probably due to getting hurt during a game this year)

Sproles 7.4/game (up from 6.7, guessing playing catch up)

I would say that Sproles and Moore are 3A and 3B this year.

I'm too lazy to check the passing attempts vs 2011, or rushing attempts or percentages, but just a WAG that they are passing even more this year than last. The DEN was painful to watch. A few drops by Graham, passes knocked down. Thought the DBs got away with some things on 3rd down. This would be their outlier. SF seems to be the only bad matchup (though NYG and DAL on the road have their own set of problems).

Moore is a great WR3 in PPR since he will get targets every week.

Graham being back doesn't concern me.
Lance Moore week 9- 25 snaps- 2 targets
30 yards per catch and drew 1 PI call and a defensive holding call in the Red Zone. It's not like he didn't have some opportunities. I still think you can roll with Moore as your WR3 most weeks in PPR leagues and be happy with the results. I wouldn't be surprised to see him come through with a nice game next Sunday. I don't think the Saints will be playing from the front vs. Atlanta. I think they'll need to air it out a lot to try and win.
