THE NEWS

After suffering a minor knee injury against the Texans on Saturday evening, Larry Fitzgerald will undergo an MRI on Sunday, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

OUR VIEW

The Cardinals are expecting the MRI to reveal a "slight sprain." His regular season status is not in danger.

I second this and I think Fitz numbers take a serious dive too this year. I don't think I would take him in the 1st rd because of the lack of a QB he has.

MRI shows Larry Fitzgerald has sprained MCL

Larry Fitzgerald confirmed Sunday that his MRI revealed a sprained MCL in his right knee.

Fitzgerald says he'll "be conservative with it for a few weeks," which indicates that we probably won't see him for the remainder of the preseason. Still, the news is good. Fitzgerald should be 100 percent in time for Opening Day. In the meantime, Early Doucet will practice with Arizona's first-team offense

Aren't there already a million threads where patrons predict bad QB play and dive in Fitz #'s... This thread is about the injury.

I'm just too uneasy about Fitz's prospects this year. I now have Calvin Johnson solidly ranked 3rd behind AJ and Moss.

In the early 2nd round, I would probably by pass Fitz for Calvin and maybe even Roddy White and Wayne.
