Running back Larry Johnson wants to leave the Kansas City Chiefs, regardless of whether coach Herm Edwards is retained after a 2-14 season, the Kansas City Star reports.

"Hopefully, my future is not with this organization," Johnson told the Star after rushing 10 times for 18 yards in a 16-6 season-ending loss to the Bengals. "The things that have been going around, I'm not saying it's (all) their fault. Half of it is mine with off-the-field (stuff) and other things that go on.

WOuld the Chiefs be willing to move him? What teams might be interested?

A new GM would probably love to move him to load up on draft picks in his first draft. LJ's a malcontent who a new regime would probably love to jettison for that reason anyway. It would seem probably that LJ is elsewhere in 2009.
