How will these guys finsih the year out?

Any TDs in sight for either one?

After this last week will LJ return to his old form now that the chiefs started spreading the ball out?

What are these guys value, will LJ even finish in the top 15 RB?

I think from here on in LJ will be gold! The Chiefs are passing the ball, Kennison is coming back..the only problem is LJ owners may be in too deep of a hole.

I am having a hard time trying to figure out McGahee, they got rid of Lewis..and Willis looks slower than Jamel

My RB's are in my sig and I'm starting to feel very good about it. Even more so because I traded Caddy for G. Jennings last week. My early feeling is to start LJ/Portis this week as SF D did a nice job on Alexander but barring injuries...I'm liking my options at this moment.

You may be questioning my trade. I was kickin my self afterword because the owner would have given me L. Coles & Jennings for Caddy. Doghouse to the Penthouse just like that.

I was a big McGahee fan all offseason but after watching him and the Ravens (both offense/defense) I wasn't that impressed despite a fairly easy schedule. Ironically enough I dealt McGahee in a package for LJ last week.

McGahee on pace for a career year in yds and looking good. If he could get a few TDs he would be golden. I can't see how anyone can complain about the way mcgahee looks right now. That sick cutback run for 28 yds in last weeks game was impressive. Jamal would not have been able to do that

 the schedule at the beginning of the season, didn't look to promising for the Chiefs and LJ..but, now we see that Denver can't stop anyone, SD can't either, and the Raiders, while improving, are still giving up WAY too many yards on the ground!LJ should be the top 3 RB that he was drafted to be, the remainder of the season..

I was thinking the Same Just Trying to project Trade Value

Is there no one else wiyh projections on LJ or Mcgahee? :goodposting:
I'll throw mine out there for the rest of the year...McGahee 240 carries (12*20) @ 4.0 ypc = 960 and 200 receiving yrds with 5-6 tdsLJ 300 (12*25) @ 3.9 ypc = 1170 and 350 receiving with 12 tdsYardage wise I don't see huge difference. LJ will get more carries and they will both run for close the same ypc. The big difference IMO is the td's from here on out. Herm will give the ball to LJ for 3 shots in a row from inside the 10 where Billick will not. Neither team has a good line or a good offense and both have good defenses.

a guy in my league offered up LJ for Lamont Jordan a few weeks ago so i jumped on it. at the time i was second guessing my decision but i think i did okay. I'm hoping last week is a sign of what LJ will do the rest of the season. right now i'm in second to last place and i'm starting LJ and Addai, seems every week i go up against someone who scores more points than anyone else in the league. problem is now Addai may be out this week and then next week is his bye, it may be too late for anyone to do me any good. i'm dropping Cadillac this week and i was thinking of picking up Sammy Morris, do you think this is a good replacement for Addai's bye week? thoughts?

I don't think he sucks, he's been solid but he's had a pretty easy schedule with Cincy, Jets, AZ and Clev. The lack of td's is worrisome though and the overall state of the team is the larger issue in my mind. A big reason for me being high on him was the rock solid defense and getting the 2nd half carries to grind out the clock. That doesn't look like it's going to be the case at all this year. The defense doesn't look nearly as good, the QB situation is awful and the line hasn't been good. One very good thing that he has going for him is that his dream schedule continues for a few more weeks. Based on SOS the defenses he faces from here on out...25, 29, 27, bye, 8, 28, 30, 12, 3, 22, 32, 13 and 8 (for an average of 20). Veeery weak.

97 and 98 are not 100. I believe this is the first week he put up a hundo. That said, I'll keep starting him.

He got receiving yards each of those games to push him over 100 on a combined basis though....

With the Purchase Price of Lj being much higher, because of his name and prior success.

Would Mcgahee have the better Value?

:pickle:

Thanks to those who finally spoke up.

Last week Mcgahee (YPC) was awesome but only got the rock 14 times.

I agree that LJ most likely will have more tds, but is the Chiefs passing game good enough to give him many chances?

Pretty bold to say he will bounce back to being a top 3 back  Does anyone else think, with that line he will be able to produce like he use to?

At this point I think the Chiefs passing game > Baltimore passing game, especially since teams will sell out against LJ (which they won't do for McGahee). The 14 carries is what would worry me going forward especially since it was against Cleveland who's terrible vs. the run. The problem is that their defense isn't looking like it has over the past 3 years (giving up 27, 13, 23 and 27 pts).

Sure. He'll get more carries than probably any RB in the league, especially with Sjax injured. Now that Bowe offers them a good target it will force the defense to at least respect the pass a little bit. His schedule is good from here on out. Is his line that much worse than last year? He did pretty well last year and I think his defense is better this year. LJ is the offense, no if's and's or but's and he will get the ball. The last two games he's gotten 49 carries (53 touch's) and I'd expect him to get between 25 and 30 touch's every game assuming he's healthy.

what is the ceiling for LJ this year?Do you think he will be better next year?

what about LJ vs Alexander?

Boith solid, both should get better as time goes on. I dont think there is a debate between LJ and Willis. The debate should be LJ vs Alexander.

They have arguably the easiest schedules left for RBs. I like them both, but actually McGahee a bit more this year.

FWIW - I just made a trade offer to get LJ.....I think he will come around and make us forget the first few weeks......

I'd say his ceiling is definitely top 3 and his floor is probably 7-8 (but this was my opinion in the offseason as well). Consider that Westbrook may be down a while, Henry may be gone, Gore is doing nothing and Sjax is banged up/out a while. That essentially leaves LJ, R. Brown, Parker, LT, Addai (although he may be dinged), Edge, Jamal, McGahee, Alexander, Lynch and Benson as every down backs. On that list LJ will probably get the most touch's (followed closely by LT) so his ceiling is definitely high, he just needs to stay healthy. The Chiefs signed LJ long term and know he's their future and as such I'd expect they would work to improve the deteriorating line which will only help him.

Parker ( A stud ) ran for 30 yds vs Arizona , so i dint think McGahees schedule was so easy .He looks real good but they have no QB or Wr so they basically have to do everything running . Plus their defense is nt what it use to be , so they dont get great field position to start drives .
