Mike Reiss is predicting this morning that Maroney will be inactive. Obviously it's only a prediction at this point, though:

10. If I had to guess the Patriots’ inactive players today, I’d pick: Running back Laurence Maroney, receiver Taylor Price, linebacker Dane Fletcher, cornerback Terrence Wheatley, defensive linemen Kyle Love and Brandon Deaderick, and offensive linemen Steve Maneri and Nick Kaczur.

Officially it's a thigh injury.... but there's speculation that this is a coaching decision and he's a healthy scratch.

Maoney has been banged up most of the preseason and is said to have a groin injury. He just returned to practice the other day. I do not believe he is a healthy scratch.

Cool... thanks for the info... I was just parroting what was said on NFL network... your word on the NE backfield is golden though.
