Laurent Robinson One Week Bandwagon... (1 Viewer)

FBG had him ranked as the #37 WR in my scoring system, which i thought was ridiculous. I started him anyway and was glad i did. I was pretty disappointed in FBG for this ranking. What was the basis for it? He's been tearing it up lately. He is in a great offense with a top tier QB throwing to him. What's not to like and I would like to know the reasoning for the low ranking. Is this the kind of stuff i'm paying for?

Yep sadly that ranking cost me big as I was debating between him and Antonio Brown. Maybe Brown has a big week as well. Won't make that mistake next week for sure. Take your time Miles Austin. haha

Austin has performed when he played because its the position. these are all Austins points. this guy goes back to the #3 when Austin returns.

but hold incase Austin gets hurt again, which is likely. sucks to see how well Austin would be doing if he was healthy.

:goodposting: true, I own Dez and Austin, if Robinson gets dumped I for sure will pick him up as a handcuff.

the last two games austin played in, bryant and robinson were on the field too, and robinson scored in both of those games. it's not all about the position.

What's the basis for this Robinson automatically going back to his previous place in the hierarchy? DeMarco Murray is a decent example of a Cowboy playing his way into a starting role over an injured former starter. Romo and Robinson are on fire. Why break up that chemistry just to give a guy his job back when he can't seem to stay on the field?

i think its that Austin has done what LRob has, Felix has done nothing.

In his games back after injury Austin went:

6 10/16/11 @NE 7/74/0

7 10/23/11 STL 2/16/0

8 10/30/11 @PHI 3/27/0

Then started out well vs Sea 2/53/0 and got hurt.

LRob went:

6 10/16/11 @NE 2/43/0

7 10/23/11 STL 2/25/0

8 10/30/11 @PHI 5/103/1

9 11/06/11 SEA 5/32/1

Vs StL & PHI LRob did as well or better than Austin when he was healthy.

I think Robinson will still continue to do well as far as helping the team win games... he will score every other game or so... and just be more of a hit or miss type player in fantasy...

really going to have to watch this one closely when Austin comes back... but like others have said I really do not see them taking him out of the game just because Austin comes back... they may just run more spread formations and allow Murray to shred opposing defenses and than run the play action using all three of their weapons

I tried to get him off the WW in all 3 of my leagues when Austin went down with the hammy. Got him in 1. he's been in my starting lineup ever since. I have other options, but Robinson has been performing at high level whenever he's on the field. Romo gets this guy the ball, and they've had a pretty good chemistry from the get go

IMO the Cowboys should rest Austin for the playoffs, if they make it which I can't see them not with the schedule they have upcoming. L Rob has filled in perfectly and they are in a groove right now. Not to mention, it would make us fantasy owners of both Austin and L Rob lives much easier.

Probably shouldn't have traded him before he even played a game in a deal for Steve Smith. Then again, Witten and Murray are enoguh Cowboys on one team

But he does appear to be looking his way quite a bit

Austin owners in denial.L Rob and Romo are besties now. Sorry boys.
I was frustrated with Robinson as an FF owner for a long time. Even the Rams was such a nice spot for him with Bradford placing the ball beautifully and...I never guessed he'd do well in Dallas or continue to do well. Robinson has had plenty of injuries during his career even if it was dings where he just missed practice time. The other Boys WRs have as well. I think Jones has to bank on the current Laurent and sign him quick. He's going to command far more money with every impressive game. I don't see Laurent versus Miles as a problem. One will bump Dez, then the uber-talented youngster will step up his game. IMO, the biggest mistake the Boys can make here is limit Jason Witten at all. Any ideas with four WRs and any fancy sets that don't include Witten is foolish IMO. Maybe once in a long while, but he's a huge matchup problem. As long as Ds are adjusting to him, these WRs, and even Murray, are better off.If all WRs are healthy, Garrett will probably send em deep often so they need a breather. That'll also give em' a knock out punch on occasion too. The Boys remind me more of a young Saints offense or bad Broncos and Dolphins offense of a zillion years ago. Some weeks there's a whole lot of yardage that doesn't result in points. It'll come. This is what I'm looking for to decide if they're my playoff choice or not. Their efficiency has to improve and they gotta get that killer instinct. The Detroit game was impressive. Romo makes me nervous from year's past. I want to see a Brees, Brady, Peyton just another day at the office performance mentality out of him. Anyhow, I don't think Austin owners need to worry, sorry for the ramble
