Rules are rules right? I mean if owners don't have money in their accounts they are not to be allowed to make moves. Here is our bylaws:
""Owners are required to have their money into the commisioner before the first game is played in week 1. They must also have money in their account in order to be able to do any transactions after week 1. The league keeps track of the accounting for all moves/adds/drops/trades. The fee to add a player to your roster is $2 per player addded, whether it be via free agency or a trade."
This week the commish posted a league message stating that owners had until November 9 to get caught up. I called bull#### on that. I have my money in. Now in fairness I was an offender and put my money in as soon as I saw the message. I don't think any other owners did.
So I voiced my opinion before the waivers went through and got no responses. Waivers ran as normal. Allowing owners with negative balances to go even further into the hole.
What would you do in the situation. We have a long standing policy that we don't go backwards in this league. Meaning once the week flips over to the next week, the previous week is in stone. But this is all happening midweek. I feel it is total BS. Rules are rules. I don't think it is fair to ever relax a rule for one group of people. I know I wasn't allowed to make trades in the offseason when my account ran short. Am I off base here?
