League size - what's normal? (1 Viewer)

When you post in the Shark Pool that a player is a third round pick, what do you mean?

  • He'll probably be drafted somewhere between picks 17 and 24

If there's a tie, choose the option that you think of as your main league, whether that means oldest or biggest money or whatever. If you have an odd number of teams in your league, please round up.

The goal of the second question is to figure out what someone means here when they say "Player X is a third round pick", since they could mean picks 17-24, or picks 25-36, or picks 33-48, and so on.

I'm not including an "other" option, so if you don't love any of the options, choose the one that's closest, or just don't vote, but please do post your answer.

My votes don't match as my "main" league is a local 10 team keeper league. All of my other leagues are 12 teamers however. That makes a 3rd round pick 25-36 IMO

 My main is a 16, but I still consider 3rd = ranked 25-36.Actually, I play only in IDP, so a 3rd means either a 2nd tier IDP or a longer shot offensive prospect. i.e. Gaines Adams to Laurent Williams.

Honestly, I'll be shocked if it's anything other than 12/25-36.
:lmao: Why? My main league has 14 teams. I have been in other leagues with 8 and 10 as well as the more normal 12. I do not see 12 as being the absolute must have standard. I actually like having 14 teams and would consider a league with more just because the strategy is more in play. You really have to know what you are doing with more teams involved because the talent has to be spread out more.

I can see a bunch of people having not 12 as their main league. It's cool to have more. However, everyone that posts here should know that an 'average' league is 12, and discussing a 3rd round pick in a draft would be picks 25-36, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
