LeGarrette Blount - RB - TB - INACTIVE (1 Viewer)

Posting this just in case someone somwehere is thinking about starting Blount.Looks like a healthy scratch
This dude was my worst 1-week pickup ever.
VERY  I realized it was a roll of the dice when I picked him up but it's amazing what a bum he turned out to be after being so heavily hyped. Something bad must have happened to him last week before the Bengals' game. I'm not kidding. He went from getting significant reps with the starters in practice and possibly getting double-digit carries and goal-line looks against the Bengals to being worthless. Now he's inactive despite the team still having a glaring need in the running game. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear something later in the season or after the season about him.

Yeah, I still have him on a roster and because nothing else is available, I'm dreading week 9.

lol :goodposting: i still won my game, but i was embarrassed that he was even in my lineup with his 0.3 points.watching everyone chase ghosts with regard to the tampa running game is amusing.

He got me 0 points in my league and I still set an all-time scoring record. But just staring at that 0 made me want to projectile vomit. I couldn't dump fast enough this week.

I'm assuming even with this news, Huggins is a non-start unless you are really screwed at RB position, correct?

I think they have to try something different considering Caddy looks terrible but I can't see starting Huggins unless you're really strapped at RB this week. After what happened last week with Blount not living up to what the coaches promised I think it's too risky to trust Huggins until he shows something.

Are you keeping Blount or dropping him? I picked him up but haven't started him and still have him on my bench.

Dropped him. Couldn't afford to have him take up a roster spot considering they didn't want to use him last week despite Caddy looking bad again and he wasn't getting the goal-line touches as the coaches promised. I really do believe something may have happened with him that no one is reporting at the present time.

But that's just it. The coach saw him get significant reps and decided to sideline him. People need to remember that fact. It's crystal clear logic that we don't often get in FF.I took some flack in the hype thread for this, but I don't think he's a starting NFL RB. I think he's a tough sonofa that is a joy to watch in short yardage situations (obvious joke aside, he's got fight in him) and that will be valuable to a team at some point. Those that loved his play in college say he can start in the NFL and...maybe in time but not now....clearly.On the Bucs, Earnest Graham can get tough yardage and from the FB spot if need be. He may have to get the GL work on another team...who knows. The guy's got a niche now, good for him. He can build on that in time.

I hyped the guy originally and I will stand by it. I still think at some point they will turn to him, and you'll be happy you kept him. And if I turn out to be wrong, so what? It's not like in most leagues there's a whole bunch of RBs out there to stash on your bench. At this point of the season, you have to pick and choose and hope you get lucky.

That's why I dropped him. Again, it was a gamble and I was hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. I don't dispute that. But it was a huge failure. No one to blame but myself for buying into all the hype that was coming from their coaching staff and some very respected beat writers. Stuff happens and you move on. I really think fantasy football is a week-to-week deal in many ways now. I took a shot with Blount and it flopped. Now I move on.

i agree with this somewhat, this is the kind of guy who comes out of nowhere week 12 every year and becomes a point producer. at the moment, however, roster space is pretty precious so i had to drop him. probably will re-add when byes pass.
