Leonard Little? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys.

I see that Little is rated pretty highly on the FBG cheat sheets, but I don't know much about him other than he has missed time and that he may get traded to Denver. He is sitting on the wire in my league, and I'm wondering if he should be there at all. Can some of you fellas weigh in and give your thoughts on him and what to expect for the rest of the season?

thanks

First off, I'm no expert... but I did stay at a holiday in last night!

I picked him up in the offseason. He had a good preseason and reports were he looked like he was recovered from his injury of last year. Well, he got hurt again. I dropped him and picked him up again a few weeks later. He's 35ish... so he might have nagging injuries here and there. He's had 4+ 10+ sack seasons. I would say depends on how many people you can roster and how many teams in your league. He's my #4 DL and spot starter. I'm not sure if I would count on him as a starter, but in a fill in role and guy you can spot he could be a asset to you.

When healthy, Little is one of the few ends in the league capable of 50 solos and 12 sacks. He's too risky to count on as a DL1, or even as a DL2 in shallow leagues, but that kind of potential is definitely rosterable in deeper leagues. Especially so if you've got a couple of consistent, durable options to go with him.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't want to turn this into a waiver question, but I was thinking about dropping F Robbins for Little in a no-DT required league. We start 2 DL, and there are 14 teams.

2 pts- tackle, sack

1 pt- ast

Good idea?

I'm new here and I don't know if there is a waiver forum. If a mod moves this, I understand.

There's an IDP specific Assistant Coach Forum pinned above. We prefer that you use that forum for team and league specific advice to keep the main forum dedicated to news, discussion and analysis. Thanks. It's a close decision, but Robbins doesn't have the sack upside Little does and isn't likely to out-tackle Little when both are healthy.

watching the game, so far looks like little is just 3rd down pass specialist. Looks good doing it but not getting alot of snaps. hopefully he gets to campbell one of these 3rd downs

He's coming off injury and was on a snap count. It was reported before the game that he wouldn't be starting, but that's not permanent.

Did he start? He played awesome this week.
Not sure if he started, but he was dominant. He was close to having more sacks than he ended up with. Of course that was against Brad the Statue Johnson, but also against the tough Dallas O line. So I see it as a real good day. Glad I grabbed him, and am looking forward to more big days.

So he looked good in a blow out game. But how will he do in the next couple of weeks?
Well, this was his third pretty good game in a row. Against the Dallas Oline no less. And he goes against Cassel next week, who is being sacked at a pretty high rate. Sounds good to me...

Leonard Little - DL - Rams

Oct 17. Rams LE Leonard Little will retake his job as a full-time player from Victor Adeyanju this week. Little has been limited for weeks by a hamstring injury. The 34-year-old edge rusher hasn't lost a step despite his age and has three sacks in his last two games. As a three-down player, his tackle numbers will rise. More: St Louis Post-Dispatch

Looks like it took him one game back from his injury to move right into the starting position again. Game logs had him starting this past week so that is a great sign. There will always be some sort of rotation with Long, Hall and Adeyanju, but I think Little will command the most time, especially on passing downs. He is no slouch against the run either.

2 Hrs L. Little DL STL

Rams defensive end Leonard Little and defensive tackle Adam Carriker were doing individual drills at the team's practice on Wednesday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Little re-injured his hamstring on Sunday, and Carriker hurt his ankle two weeks ago. Little has 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles on the year, and when healthy can be utilized in IDP leagues.
possibly good news...........
