Green = only game in town

Julio = 4th fiddle behind Roddy, Gonzo and the Falcons still run a ton with Turner...no thanks...Blouses...

Yea, cause who's gonna throw it to Green?Blouse.
Julio will be lucky to get 3 balls thrown his way a game between roddy, gonzo and Turner running the ball 20 times. Game, blouses... :excited:
given the investment of the falcons, i think its more likely to signal a departure from their heavy run based offense.

Gonzo and turner are getting old. Atlanta didnt sell the house for a guy getting 3 targets a game. Good for julio, but I agree that green could be solid as the only game in town

Gonzo's career is all but over and Turner's no spring chicken either, he's already wearing down. And if anything, why shouldn't the presence of Roddy White be a good thing?

Ill take Green. Roddy will be #1 for next three years atleast, which means Cincy has 3 years to figure out their qb situation

I would say Ocho is all but gone.. and Palmer is still on the roster ands hes not going to turn down his huge salary. Once Ocho is gone I bet Palmer will change his tune.

Both will be good but give me Green who will have little competiton for targets. Jerome Simpson? Please.

Roddy White is a stud and only 29 years old so he's got a lot of seasons left under his belt. It's also extremely difficult for a team to sustain 2 fantasy studs, they will just eat into each others production. Julio is gonna have some huge games here and there, but good luck predicting them.

People saying AJ Green is the only game in town need to go back and watch the end of the season for Jerome Simpson
:goodposting:Shipley and Caldwell are good options too. And then there's last year's #1 in Gresham.Add in the factor that they want to go back to being a more run-oriented team (I still believe that is true) and it's not so clear cut.-QG

Right, Cinny is building up for a nice passing team; Carson is an idoit to not go back once Chad is shown the door.

Exactly. Shipley is good and they have a very good young TE. I think Julio outproduces Green in year 1, and I personally like Julio for the longterm as well. Especially if the Bengals take Dalton today and trade Palmer. Ryan or Dalton? Are you kidding me?

The Falcons wanted AJ Green but the Bungles turned them down. The Falcons then moved on to Cleveland to draft Julio Jones so that should tell you enough of what they think of the two receivers. Roddy White is the number 1 receiver in the league and JJ will need time to adapt to the NFL level.

Those are solid options, but if you think they are in any way close to AJ Green then you haven't watched Green play.

Which is why it was a completely ridiculous pick for the Bengals with so many other needs. But not to hijack.... I think Jones is the better player, but Roddy does hurt his fantasy value.

i think the targets are there for jones. the falcons will pass a bit more and theres no reason for roddy white to continue to see 180 balls. also, gonzo has to decline or retire at some point.

Gimme Green! While it is uncertain who his QB will be, it is certain Ryan & White are already in love.
People overestimate this. See Fitzgerald/Boldin and Reggie Wayne.

I'll take the #2 on a great passing team over the #1 with a lousy QB if we're just talking situation.

If Bengals get Dalton today, I'm 100% locked in with Julio.

If they get Mallett...then I'll be on the fence. Mallett has the chance to be the best QB in this draft, and the Bengals don't mind taking risks on personality.

Mallett to Green could be lethal. We'll know in a few hours.

I disagree with discounting Green due to worry about the presence of scrubs like Simpson, Shipley and Caldwell, but crediting Julio due to the presence of White.

That said, they're both tremendous prospects who should probably go in the top three of most rookie drafts pending tonight's action.

I am going to assume you are talking dynasty for starters.

People are over thinking this (as they do a lot after the NFL draft) too much. If you liked Green more before the draft based on talent, I don't think enough changed in the draft for you to think differently. If you honestly had them in a dead heat, then I guess look at what situation they got drafted into. Despite a couple tweaks, I don't think your lists pre draft should look that much different on Monday than is did on Wednesday before the draft.

Oh, and if you are looking at where they got drafted, don't worry so much about what other WRs are on the field with them. IMO the tie breaker should be the QB. Doesn't matter if there are 4 options on the field if there is a decent QB that can get the ball where it needs to be.

  Jones will be a huge focal point of that offense...I see this team transitioning into a throw first team and pounding it down low.
