Again, the timing has less to do with Gallery's appearance than it does the youngsters getting nfl game experience. Even Okung missed a lot last year and was still on a steep learning curve until he got thug rappered. Gallery was the weakest link of the preferred lineup and now with scrubs in there he's still the most flagged OL.
It is possible to lead the line in penalties (he has 7 penalties in 11 starts, McQuistan has 5 in 9 starts and Giacomini has 6 in 7 starts) and still be their best offensive lineman. You say the young guys got game experience when they have been rotating starting linemen in and out all season. That seems far less likely than having Gallery coming in and helping settle down the inexperienced and rotating line. You don't like Gallery, fine, but he's still the leader of that line and better than anyone except maybe Unger.BTW Okung, who I think most agree is their most physically gifted lineman, had 7 penalties in 12 starts. I am guessing you don't think that means he sucks.
I'm not talking about the people rotating in to fill injured spots, I'm talking only about the 2 rookies and Okung and the games in which they played, not about any of the backups. Note that I never said getting a lot of penalties = sucking, it's just one symptom of not being good especially when the OL in question has too much experience to have so many false starts. Even when Gallery wasn't in the lineup, those 3 progressed each game, especially Carpenter who came into camp overweight and out of shape, and Gallery had nothing whatsoever to do with him getting into game shape and thus his major improvement on the field. You like Gallery, fine, but even with 3/5ths of the "starting" OL out with injury, he's still not the best OL on the field.
I completely grant that Unger looks like the real deal. I will even grant that Okung is likely a better talent physically (even with his injury history). But Carpenter has been out since week 9 and had 7 penalties on the season, it seems like they haven't missed his production (or Okung's for that matter) but they were objectively worse by any measure without Gallery. We don't need to go back and forth on who is the 'best' o-lineman or who is the leader of the line (because we won't change each others opinion). And I am not sure why you don't like Gallery but by any objective measure he is an asset to the Seattle offensive line and if you're a Seahawks fan you should like him for that reason.

I think Gallery has been the best run blocker on the field the second half of the season. That's really what matters when you're talking about Lynch's success in fantasy football. If you're talking about the Seahawks success as a whole then I can see how penalties com into play.
The second half of the season he's been competing with Giacomin, McQuistan and another scrub for that title and I'd still put Unger ahead of him.
Those scrubs seem to have stepped in of Okung and Carpenter just fine.

So we've concluded that Gallery is just so-so, Lynch lost 3/5ths of his line to injury, and he still managed to put up top 5 RB numbers this season? Impressive.

Things are looking positive for the future of the Seattle offense.

Really in less than 15 games because the first few were utter stinkers.Sign him Carroll. Don't let him get a taste of being an FA.

I was super high on this guy in dynasty when he came out. Had him #2 behind Calvin and ahead of Peterson (I'm the worst at judging RB talent). Then he proceeded to play just ok. Now he looks like the stud I thought he would be based on his size (never like the taller RBs'). You do have to wonder if he is running for a big payday.
