The phone is roughly $550 retail, still on the less expensive side of the top end phones. I would never say the LG is as good as the Galaxy/Note/iPhone6, but for some of us the $750-$1,000 price tag just for the privilege of getting billed monthly by whichever carrier you pick is borderline organized crime. I used to ask them how they could bill me if I didn't have a working phone, that angle no longer holds much water with them.
So I have been sitting on a 4 year old HTC One S that I never paid for last time T-Mobile enticed me to re-up with them. I was thinking I would have to fork out the major bucks until I stumbled onto this and I thought some of you might really want to take a look here. I have been with T-Mobile for 15 years but I'm switching to Verizon. I'm sure I could get someone from T-Mobile to perhaps match this offer but I'm ready to try a new carrier.
You get $100 off instant with the code, then they will give you $300 trade in on any piece of junk phone you want to give them in return. You also can get an additional $200 Visa card from LG separate from everything I just posted so if the phone is $550, you actually are making money by taking their phone. I haven't found anything close to this.
You could do something similar for the Motorola Droid Maxx 2 which retails at about $400 but you would not have the $200 Visa gift card. I think the Droid Maxx would probably have been fun but I like that LG is one of the few phones where you can switch the battery out. Unreal that the cell phones come on many without the capability to simply replace a dead battery, that's just mind boggling to me. You see folks still going strong on LG2, LG3, it's a decent phone for the money, probably way too boring for the hipsters.
Don't worry I'm still FFA retired, just trying to give back a little after taking for so long
Cheers!
