Lions stare 0-16 right in the face (1 Viewer)

3/4 of the way to history. What a display today.

"Can't get right" should be the name for this team because they can't get nothing right. It is beyond frustrating.

Vikings come into Ford Field next week, hopefully the extra days of preparation helps.

Next up @ Indy............0-16 just arrived in Detroit and will getting the bags from baggage claim. Soon to be on the Bucs block

Next up for the Lions are 2 teams with not alot to play for in essence. The Saints and Packers are playing to not be the one to lose to the Lions though.

Next up New Orleans comes to Ford Field.

I watched most of the game this morning, mostly because I own Peyton Manning on my FF team.

The Lions played hard the whole game. I feel bad; they don't deserve this. They are not one of the worst teams of all time, IMO.

I would like to see them pull out a win next week. I think the Saints might present a good opportunity.

Than they need to win.

I'd like to know who you consider worst of all time then...teams don't usually take until week 15 to look like they should after training camp. Sure, they've had injuries, but so has many other teams...and they still aren't even seeing what they've got in last year's picks. This team can't decide from week to week if they want to be a contender or rebuild- and that's why I think they have earned the 0-16 label if it happens. They simply aren't using this season as a lesson to learn from.

The last chance to save face will be next week vs Green Bay.

Looks like 0-16 is at the Lions front door ringing the doorbell, will they answer?

:) If they only lose by 32 it'll be an impressive show of skill at this point.

Although the Tigers failed to get the worst record in MLB history a few years ago, the Lions have succeeded in setting the benchmark for futility in the NFL.

Tough year for Detroit:

1. Mayor pleads guilty to perjury and other crimes -- gets thrown in jail

2. Big 3 is barely staying in business.

3. Lions go 0-16

The only positive is the Red Wings.

I know they were already printing 0-16 t-shirts in the area.

Just goes to show that the pre-season means nothing. Lions had an undefeated pre-season yet never won a game once the regular season started.

I just heard about this:

"one of the Lions players (can't remember which one) said he would walk 482 miles back to Detroit if they lost today"

Anyone know who it is?

:sadbanana: I was actually really sad to see this occur. While there are a small number of teams and fan bases that I would wish this upon, the Lions certainly aren't one of them :(
