live Grateful Dead (5 Viewers)

I'm not the biggest dead guy and I live outside NYC.

But I'll be damned if I didn't just get in the car and start driving west last night.

I'm in Indiana now.

I guess this is happening.

So I have been playing shows as I sit on the beach all week. The Veneta Oregon 72 show is the best so far. I didn't used to think this but its becoming obvious to me now. One thing that I wanted to ask you guys about is the volume level of the Barton Hall show. I had it on tape back in the day and it sounded very good. Now in comparison with all of these other great shows the sound is just meh. My biggest gripe is at full volume on my Bluetooth, I can't get it very loud. Is this typical or just a bad version? Tia.

To tide over until next weekend in Chicago.

Video Dead for your July 4th weekend watching/listening pleasure (and between shows intermission entertainment).Includes the Veneta show noted immediately above, easily my favorite Dark Star on video (highest possible rec.).

The 5-8-77 show comes up a lot, don't have video of that, but do of a 3 hour show approx. two weeks before.

* Have seen the Dead Movie (circa '74 and the classic Wall of Sound era) and Closing of Winterland show, and they are also among the better available video, imo.

The sotm was gorgeous and t Jed ridiculously strong.

Thinking only repeats will be biggies they felt they botched. The sc Cumberland was awful.

deal the first time trey missed a bit. lost the perfect game, still has the no hitter going.

Tennessee jed will go down as one of the highlights of the five nights.

eta: not sure why weir insisted on little red rooster, but there you go. give last night's first set the nod.
