I'll get the party started:

Houston:

3.01 - Daniel Bullocks

3.02 - Ryan O'Callaghan

God that team sucks.

Yes, this means they'd have two rookies starting at FS/SS. But what choice do they have?

Yeah, Bob - get in the mix !!!

GB - i like stovall

javon walker probably gone, terrence murphy may have career ending neck condition, ferguson is nothing special & driver is 31...

stovall could be nice possession WR & red zone weapon...

GB already has two of most important holes filled with hawk at LB & joseph for interior OL...

if those are two biggest holes, #1 LB & #1 OG is a nice haul...

A WR does make sense here.

What about the hometown "hero" Calhoun? Ahman Green is nearing the end, and I don't believe Gado is the long term answer.

Sure, but they have Mr. Poopy.IF murphy doesn't look to return (I've lost track) and GB doesn't trade for lelie, Stovall makes a LOT of sense, and would be my pick.

I forgot TN doesn't have a 3rd. What did they get for it?

3.03 - Green Bay - Maurice Stovall

In the end, they need some help at WR now more than RB now.

since defense challenged SF went TE in first (great pick), than got SS of future in bing (parrish recovering from broken angle, maybe could play FS?), what about rocky mcintosh at OLB...

since this time last year, they lost winborn, peterson & carter...

LB looks grim after ILBs smith & ulbrich...

though mac maybe better fit in 4-3, not sure if he fits criteria for 3-4 OLB?

235 lbs and 4.6 speed? He might get gobbled up by T as a 3-4 OLB. I like him a lot better in a 4-3.

You mean this guy?:38 Oakland -blkgolf23- Roger McIntosh (OLB, Miami)

They need a CB and Cedric Griffin and Danieal Manning are both OTB. OLB is bleak unless they take a chance on Spencer Havner or Terna Nande.

i gotta look at that thing more carefully... :)

SF needs DL & CB help...

bryant young old, anthony adams not a prototypical NT...

CBs are shawntae spencer (upside), rumph (sketchy... was moved to S because he isn't very fast, but he doesn't have instincts to play S)... isn't ahmed plummer expected to be released or already has been?

* i like griffin, good call... he looked as good as huff to me in USC game...

From what I understand, Mac is a better 4-3 OLB, but he might be able to transition to the inside. But, as the ILBs are the strength of the D right now, they'd probably be better off looking elsewhere. If going for OLB here, what about Terna Nande? perhaps a bit of a project, he he has the skill to excel in the 3-4 IMO.

I'd hold off at DT here, none strike me as great, but Le Kevin Smith would be a fair 5th round pick.I like the Danieal Manning idea, a project, but appears to have the tools.

2.04 - San Francisco: Terna Nande, OLB, Miami (OH)

CB is a good plan but they did acquire Walt Harris as a stopgap. There is no stopgap at OLB.

From the actual "owner", blkgolf23:

3.05 - Oakland - Jeremy Trueblood, OT. Boston College

3.7 - N.Y. Jets - Stanley McClover, DE/LB, Auburn

If Mangini is serious about playing a 3-4, he's going to need some big, athletic OLBs, and I believe McClover projects nicely at OLB. Bigger than Kamerion Wimbley, but just as fast, McClover is a guy who has intriguing potential. He's an inconsistent player, but his upside is far greater than that of any of the other 3-4 OLB prospects available here, IMO.

I'm just going to keep rolling until someone stops me:

3.10 Detroit - Danieal Manning, CB, Abilene Christian

I hate this team.

like the byrd pick for ARI... it sounds like cards get az hakim this week... if warner stays upright this is a scary looking offense...

they aren't getting davis unless they trade up (too many holes to recommend that)... with the outstandinding depth of TE class, that aligns well with cards being able to fill other hole/s first... TE a clear need, it is very likely they do get TE in second or third, whether or not byrd is ultimately the guy...

makes too much sense as convergence of BPA, team need & probable unfolding of the draftspace...

They were the absolute WORST team in the league in red zone scoring last year. One of the primary factors was TE.

3.12 - Philadelphia - Martin Nance, WR, Miami (OH)

This team is still pretty good. About the only other option is a backup QB.

A good pick. Might have considered a power RB, but Nance will work.

rams could think developmental QB...

interior OL is pressing need...

DE to groom as little's replacement (is edwards on the board... but he has disturbing character red flags & poor intangibles)

still need SLB...

possibly a CB/secondary type, too... they could go in a lot of directions...

Sorry for the delay, I was out to lunch. I would have taken Chris Chester C from Oklahoma. They were in the market for Bently, and Fraley is getting older.

That being said, I can't argue with a Wide Receiver or another weapon for this offense.

Rams gotta go defense.

Hey Bob, I've tried looking into Edwards character questions, and he seems to be getting the seal of approval all around. He talked back to his coach. His coach really put the screws to him. Benched him. Bad mouthed him in the media. Etc. But, Edwards took it all in stride. Worked harder than ever. Kept his mouth shut. Finished the season strong and declared for the draft. Rang said in another chat, that Edwards is a really good kid.

On his game. He has some interesting potential not often mentioned. He, Wimbley, Dumvervil, Haralson, Tapp, Anderson and some others got tabbed for some LB drills at the Combine. The footage was unfortunately humorous. Most of them looked drunk wobbling around in coverage. They batted down balls they should have intercepted. They couldn't get this reverse pivot turn to save their lives. Lawson refused to participate. Edwards was awesome. He played MLB in high school, and is a very gifted athlete. Everything was smooth, caught the ball with soft hands, showed very natural LB ability. I think he's pretty underrated.

3.11 - New England - Brian Calhoun, RB, Wisconsin
Great Pick. As a Dolphin fan I'll be quite peeved if NE ends up with these picks. They've already aided three of their four main weaknesses. Let's see:1) Linebacker; Carpenter = check (speedy OLB

2) WR; S. Moss = check (+ a potential special teams guy)

3) RB; Calhoun = check (quicker than his 40 times + a receiving threat)

I don't like the way this is turning out at all!

They are still weak at D. Back, but I'm afraid that will be fixed soon as well.

Rams almost HAVE to go secondary. Weakest spot on the team and they've gone DT and TE the first two rounds.

Roman Harper? Zemaitis?

13. St. Louis - Pat Watkins, S, Florida State

I want to give them a CB, but none left seem to fit. DE still needs to be addressed, but I think this helps them big time.

Edit: Roman Harper instead?

3.14 - Cleveland - Andrew Whitworth, T, L.S.U.

With the acquisition of Shaffer and Bently, this addition could pay big dividends on the line.

Also gave consideration to Ray Edwards and Jerrious Norwood.

Chester was a consideration at 49. To get him in the mid-third round, is great value. He represents the versatile type of player that Parcells loves. Dallas needs OL youth and now have it with this pick and Scott in the 2nd.

Other strong considerations were safety (Harper and Smith) as well as TE (Scheffler). Also considered were NTs Dvoracek and Oshinowo. Any of these guys would likely be in the rotation in 2006.

But Chester's versatility is what made this pick. He can play any of the interior OLine positions.
