Wow...This could be the most unfunny attempt at making a joke I've heard in a long timeNow, if anyone has some updates, I'd love to hear them

Thanks to all the medical experts for letting us know about the severity of LJ's injury before any official news is released. I don't know what I would do without you guys.
I suppose you would start him and lose.
Brilliant post. I'd rather wait for the news release though. The same knuckleheads said MJD was probably done for the year 2 weeks ago. They say ignorance is bliss, I can't help but wonder.

All the quotes on how much everyone would like some scotch are so much more interesting and informative than talking about shedule options and whether he would work out as a GL back. What a bunch of immature baby prks.

More posts on the value of Priest Holmes in comparison to other backs, and much less on people complaining about other posts, please.

Somewhere, someone was mentioning they'd read that Priest would only get about 15 touches a game. Here's the quote:

Smith could see extended playing time Sunday if Larry Johnson (foot) can't play, the Associated Press reports.

Spin: "I don't see Priest (Holmes) carrying the ball more than 15 times," coach Herm Edwards said. "Kolby's going to have to carry it some. He's played more football this year, counting the preseason, than Priest has. You don't want to wear Priest out." If you have a roster spot open in a deeper league, Smith could be worth a waiver claim. Temper your expectations though; even Johnson, an All-Pro, struggled to find running lanes behind Kansas City's offensive line.

But he said he would on a message board. That's binding, as far as I'm concerned.

the fact that steve smith is tanking the rest of the season is just fine by me, just picked him up in my dynasty league, the worse he does, the worse i do, and i have three #1 picksjust traded LJ, Reggie Brown for Steve Smith, a #1 and a #3, lets get to the offseason already...at this point it doe appear Delhomme will be back QB'in in Carolina next year correct? I'm gonna look to pick him up off the waiver wire week 14 or so...
What a hypocritical prck. 2and2is5 has no problem posting worthless information about who he traded for and how many picks he has, but he gets bent out of shape when I am talking wothwhile information about Priest Holmes and where I would consider using him.
pinda is the one who got bent out of shape about your post on Priest, not 2and2is5.

Two days later and still can't put weight on it. Not good.
Not good at all.
Not to downplay this at all, but just because he ISN'T putting weight on it, doesn't necessarily mean he CAN'T put weight on it. It could be on the advice of his trainers that he rests it for a few days before working it out.I know it's just semantics, but it's all I can hope for as an LJ owner

What do you all think LJ's Dynasty value is now after this injury?
Doesn't change in my book. As long as it's not a Lis Franc. It'll be an issue this season, but he should be fine by the start of next if it's not a fracture

Ya... LJ's value shouldn't change. I think taking some time off from running behind this years KC offensive line should only help him later. As far as Priest's value this season? MINIMAL. An RB3 at best. I'm a Chief's homer and their line (and play calling) is absolutely the worst I've ever seen. The only reason LJ ever had any big games was because he was able to break a big run every once in a while. Priest does not have LJ speed or power.I expect a lot of 15/50 games out of Priest... maybe a touchdown every other game. Kolby Smith should do worse... 10/30 games. The line is terrible and Priest's wait for the holes to open style isnt going to work... and Kolby Smith has no vision.

Chiefs Head coach Herm Edwards said it is unlikely that Larry Johnson (foot) will play in Week 10.

It will be difficult for him to play this week," said Edwards after he received preliminary results regarding Johnson's foot and ankle. Edwards added, "He’s got a swollen foot...that’s not good." Johnson, who was injured in Week 9, will have further examinations and could miss more than one game. Priest Holmes likely will start and has a great matchup against the Broncos. RB Kolby Smith will also get carries. Nov. 6 - 2:05 pm et

I wonder what the Kansas City Star has to report on this matter?

he had a MRI - noone is saying anything though -- not sure what to think here. in a way I am encouraged as you have to think after 2 days having an MRI if it was a lis franc they would know by now. But I am starting to get like WTF at the same time.

Herm said he had a lot of swelling. Lis Franc's are hard to diagnose, and they won't be able to tell until the swelling goes down. Not being able to put any weight on it is a classic problem after a lisfranc injury. In my years of FF i've found that No info usually equals bad info.I wish KC fans the best but i really don't see Holmes or the other guy being able to do much at the RB position. Tough break.
