Saints said they have reached agreement on a 5-year deal with former Falcons LB Curtis Lofton.

Im still not sure why Lofton went under the radar this offseason. Didnt seem to get a lot of love by other teams and the Falcons seemed resign to let him leave. I think hes an excellent player - Saints fans should be stoked.

Seems like a pretty big red flag to me. The Bucs need linebackers desperately and they barely flinched at this guy.

there has been chatter about vilma being out more than 4 games. there is even more chatter about how the saints were considering releasing vilma prior to the scandal.

Would you expect him to be given that kind of contract to be shifted out of position?Maybe it is like someone said before and its somewhat an insurance policy should Vilma be unavailable. But I would expect Lofton to be at MLB and play at least two downs each series.

If thats the case bump Weatherspoon in fantasy. I bet he's a LB1 this year if he moves to MLB.
