LOL @ Matthew Berry and ESPN (1 Viewer)

But to say that his "entire" argument was based on him being a 1,000 yard rusher is false. You proved in part of the quote you used above.
Ok, you got me. I need to learn how to properly use hyperbole. This is also another great example why you should never extrapolate stats over time and then give them any weight whatsoever.

Hyperbole is one thing, mischaracterization is another.I do agree with the extrapolation point, to an extent.

On the positive side, Berry and ESPN probably don't start any discussions with 'LOL at...'"

extrapolation is warranted in some cases, and not in others IMHO.Really just depends on the situation.

I heart Matthew Berry for the very reason that I enjoy winning. People in my leagues enjoy his schtick and follow his rankings, and defend them. And as stated before, they are built into the ESPN draft board if you use them for draft day.

Folks, this is what we call a BLESSING. I did one ESPN mock last night while FFCalculator was down. Total joke.

Matthew Berry, continue to crank out your crappy rankings, and I'll continue to go against them and make the playoffs/run the table each league year.

Im not gonna lie, I feel terrible every year I bring ESPN Cheat sheets to the drafts I host. It clears up around playoffs.

How could Matthew Berry have MJD ranked #5 overall and as his #4 ranked RB? Does he even pay attention anymore or just worry about his pod vader podcasts and witty pop culture jokes? He's doing his readers an irresponsible disservice. Its like he hasnt updated his list in 2 months. And yes this is his most recent.Other ridiculous rankings:Julio Jones #13 overall wrMike Wallace #6 overall wrBrandon Marshall #12 overall wrDMAC #11 overall RBEli Manning # 6 overall QBMatt Ryan # 11 overall QBheres the link don't laugh too hardhttp://g.espncdn.com/s/ffldraftkit/12/NFLDK2K12_StandCS.pdf?addata=2012=ffldft_chtsht_standard_xxx
lets see your awesome rankings

This seems to come up every year. Berry is an entertainer; he isn't really a deep-analysis fantasy guy and his presence speaks to ESPN's priorities. Think of him as a junior Bill Simmons with tilted a little more towards fantasy and away from the NBA.

If a generic fan relies on his rankings they are better off than nothing, and if anyone thinks he puts in the same amount of time and thought into it as FBG, they are surely mistaken. That's why most of us are here, and that's ok.

Not a fair thread. Those are ESPN composite rankings. Berry's ranks are HERE. MJD #11 RB/19 overall

Julio Jones #6 WR

Mike Wallace #20 WR

Marshall #3 WR

McFadden #8 RB

Eli #9 QB

Ryan #10 QB
LOL at people that aren't bright enough to read the correct rankings.
lol :excited: Hey OP: post your rankings and we'll see who's more accurate at the end of the year.
