Yeah, You're right. I shouldn't have risen to the stinky bait. Discontinuing that line of thought. And now the thread has become political - CONGRATS
Me either. The other one is macy’s WifeFull confession:
If you had asked me 4 days ago what TV show Lori Laughlin had starred in...I wouldn't have been able to tell you.
Yeah, I know Huffman from "Sports Night" and "Frasier" but I don't think I've ever seen more than 45 seconds of "Full House".Me either. The other one is macy’s Wife
I share a RL name with a character on the stupid show. Never watched it at all. Didn’t stop all the maroons from giving me shout out show references.Yeah, I know Huffman from "Sports Night" and "Frasier" but I don't think I've ever seen more than 45 seconds of "Full House".

Which investigation? I'm shuked here.jomar's post pointed out that the FBI used techniques almost identical to another, better known investigation currently going on. Yet, in that one, the Bureau's integrity and use of said techniques is endlessly criticized yet no one has done so in this admissions scandal.
I'll let @Sand explain.Which investigation? I'm shuked here.
You got it dude.Yeah, I know Huffman from "Sports Night" and "Frasier" but I don't think I've ever seen more than 45 seconds of "Full House".
That's 45 seconds of your life you'll never get back. Sorry for your loss.Yeah, I know Huffman from "Sports Night" and "Frasier" but I don't think I've ever seen more than 45 seconds of "Full House".
Wait a second, I've got 4 kids too stupid to get in to elite universities.Sinn Fein said:This irritates me much more than the original scandal:
The first lawsuits targeting elite universities and individuals charged by federal prosecutors in a sweeping college admissions scandal were filed by a student and parent on Wednesday in California.
The parent, Jennifer Kay Toy, claimed in San Francisco Superior Court that her son Joshua — with a 4.2 grade-point average — was not admitted to some schools because of the "despicable actions" of parents implicated in the scandal.

In addition to Toy's civil complaint, a Stanford student filed what she's hoping will become a class-action lawsuit against the school and all the other implicated universities, claiming their degrees will not be "worth as much as" before.
You know, it would've helped if jomar was just upfront about the whole thing. I still have no idea what he's talking about.
Me neither. I’m confused by the cryptic posts. Just tell us what investigation you’re referring to!! I don’t watch news or follow politics at all, so I assume it’s something related to politics that I have no clue about. I get my news from hereYou know, it would've helped if jomar was just upfront about the whole thing. I still have no idea what he's talking about.
He's talking about the Mueller investigation and Trump. People over in the PSF are calling the method with which they might get the President a "process crime." It's really both sides polluting the PSF, which is all that place is.Me neither. I’m confused by the cryptic posts. Just tell us what investigation you’re referring to!! Thanks. Just to put into perspective how detached I am from news and politics, I have no idea what the Mueller investigation is or about. I’m much happier not knowing tbh. He's talking about the Mueller investigation and Trump. People over in the PSF are calling the method with which they might get the President a "process crime." It's really both sides polluting the PSF, which is all that place is.
I'm just clearing it up because this is an interesting thread. Those threads in the PSF aren't, and are just a lot of anger on both sides of the political equation. I stay out of those other than to point out the hysteria brought forth by both sides.
No matter what side of the political spectrum one falls - willful ignorance to the world around you is dangerous.I have no idea what the Mueller investigation is or about.
Nah. There are 8 billion other people who can worry. I went down the rabbit hole 10 years ago and have come full circle. Some stuff is just out of our control and until the masses wake the F up, nothing is changing soon.No matter what side of the political spectrum one falls - willful ignorance to the world around you is dangerous.
I think it's really haughty to constantly laud terrorism and/or bring it up in both avatar and name yet castigate people for not being politically involved. No matter what side of the political spectrum one falls - willful ignorance to the world around you is dangerous.
You don't like my avatar?I think it's really haughty to constantly laud terrorism and/or bring it up in both avatar and name yet castigate people for not being politically involved.
It makes me worry about political involvement.
Back to Laughlin and Huffman.
No. It's Liverpool and the ninety-six, IIRC and the song they sing at Anfield. Did an entire law school Sports Law paper on soccer hooliganism and policing and the EU and human rights, etc. (Anfield and the 96 being the product of a crush because of policing and pens designed to take away taking "ends," etc.)You don't like my avatar?
I don't like it either.![]()
I don't think it represents terrorism though....
So not paying attention to news is dangerous how? I’d say it’s the opposite. I’m constantly happy and positive and pass it along to anyone I come in contact with. 10 years ago I was preaching doom and gloom and was a miserable SOBAnd - "Not being politically involved" <> "I have no idea what the Mueller investigation is or about."
Most people are not politically involved. But that is different than being aware, even tangentially, with the news that has dominated the media for the last two years - no matter what you think if the investigation.
I just...it just gives me substantive pause.
Sure. Hey, I like some of the substantive stuff in your posts, but I think IK has commented about it before, too. Do what you want, but don't expect it not to be seen. It's there for a reason, GB.ok?
(I don't think I have had an Irish-related avatar for 4-5 years, but thanks for keeping tabs)
I'm 99% sure they would not be ok with that. What if schools offered a buy-in for wealthy but unqualified students (i.e., somewhere from 2-10 times the normal tuition rate) but their permanent record designated them as a "financial" or "legacy" or (make up your own word) admission? Would Mr. and Mrs. Rich Southerncalifornian be ok with that? I'm thinking that a system like that would help a lot of other students who come up short in affordability.
Oh come on. There were like 4 TV shows worth watching in 1992.Full confession:
If you had asked me 4 days ago what TV show Lori Laughlin had starred in...I wouldn't have been able to tell you.
There is no way anybody shouldn't know Aunt Becky. However, 1992 had a bunch of really good shows.Oh come on. There were like 4 TV shows worth watching in 1992.
People aren’t going to risk going to federal prison for their dumb kids after this. I doubt it starts back up to this extent. So obviously these kids are nowhere near being smart enough to get in. I think if a kid of an affluent family has bad grades, they should investigate. Maybe there needs to be a minimum set to be able to stay enrolled. Otherwise after this blows over, it will start again. Just my opinion.
Totally serious. I had to look it up but that show was on from 1987 to 1995.There is no way anybody shouldn't know Aunt Becky. However, 1992 had a bunch of really good shows.
If these 2 film stars don't see jail time then I can see parents risking it all for their kids, esp if their career is pretty much over anyway.People aren’t going to risk going to federal prison for their dumb kids after this. I doubt it starts back up to this extent.

From 87-92 I was working nights and/or partying.
After that I had little kids. Full House was not on my radar.
Don’t have a problem with your worldview, but how can you say “I don’t pay attention to that stuff” and then call out the people who need to wake up? Anyway, I don’t blame you for avoiding that stuff, it’s disheartening.Nah. There are 8 billion other people who can worry. I went down the rabbit hole 10 years ago and have come full circle. You're being obtuse. Sinn Fein is associated with the terrorist IRA which you've not been shy to support.ok?

Is that like ROTH IRA? How much can I contribute each year to a terrorist IRA?You're being obtuse. Sinn Fein is associated with the terrorist IRA which you've not been shy to support.
