"Louis Murphy missed Raiders practice Wednesday with an undisclosed injury.

Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle points out that Murphy missed "a few plays" in the Raiders' Week 3 loss, and the receiver wasn't targeted on Oakland's 11-play drive to end the game. The extent of the injury is unknown, but the emerging fantasy starter should be monitored this week."

He had a long reception in the 2nd half and at the end of it appeared to be in some pain......He landed hard and just an educated guess, but it appeared to me as though he were favoring his shoulder/arm as he was walking to the sideline. I have him on a couple of my teams, so I hope it's nothing serious.

Roto: Coach Tom Cable revealed that Louis Murphy missed Wednesday's practice with a "bruised clavicle."

"Nothing serious," Cable assured. Oakland is secretive about injuries, but this one doesn't sound at all concerning. Murphy figures to practice Thursday.

that dive for the ball i noticed his arm was hanging limp. kinda the mechanism seen with sprained shoulders. Not saying its sprained but the way he landed i seriously doubt he bruised his clavicle.

Re: Murphy....Nothing to see here....as you were.

We just have to wait till WC practices wrap. If healthy, Murphy is better than DHB long term by a long shot.

Louis Murphy (clavicle) returned to practice Thursday, but he was clearly less than 100 percent.

Murphy was running at just three-quarters speed, and he only raised one arm in an attempt to catch a pass. He has perhaps his best matchup of the season against a woeful Texans' secondary, so this is definitely a situation to monitor. Check back on Friday for the Raiders' official injury report.

So are they planning on having Murphy catch balls this Sunday with one hand?

BTW the whole running at 3/4 speed thing is stupid. He hurt his clavicle not his legs. The reaching for the ball is a bit concerning. Its obviously one guys opinion. How often does a guy practice on a Thursday and not play?

I'm confused as well. Why would they let him practice if he can't lift one arm? They shouldn't even let him run out there at all.

Maybe it's not that serious, but just precautionary measure they told Murphy not to lift the arm but to go ahead and run one deep route. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

He's probably just taking it easy on the shoulder and letting it heal, but they still wanted him to practice and run routes. Thursday is not Sunday. Let's just hope they are honest and detailed about is status on game day.

Well I picked up Louis Murphy to cover for AJ and now he is banged up. Heck I guess I am going to have to decide last minute who to play or drop Murphy for Heyward-Bey or Jacoby Jones. Someone with a WR pulse at the 3:00pm spot so I can plug them in if AJ is a no go.

Sound like its a pain issue. Hes got 3 more days for the bruise to heal and pain to subside. IMO he'll be fine.

Louis Murphy (clavicle) was limited in his return to practice Thursday. Coach Tom Cable described Murphy's status as "dramatically" improved from Wednesday. Murphy is clearly less than 100 percent, but it looks like he's on track to start against the Texans on Sunday. The Raiders' official injury report will come out late Friday afternoon.

Dramatically improved? Maybe yesterday he couldn't lift both arms. Today he could lift one. By Sunday he will be able to lift two arms?

Randy Moss does this all the time.
