My high school senior daughter is in the college selection process. Anyone have any input on Louisville?
Currently live in WI and she has no real interest in any of the state schools. Most of the kids stay instate and just disperse in different directions, but it seems like an extension of the high school crowd.
She's an honors student, top 5 or so in her class of 600+, with an ACT score of 28. Pediatric nursing is her choice of major at the moment.
She recently toured Madison and Minnesota and didn't like either - more the size and atmosphere than anything else.
She did an informal tour of Louisville this past spring while driving through and really liked what she saw of the campus. After doing some additional research, it seems like a decent school overall. Even though out of state tuition is crazy - with her test scores, etc - it basically ends up the same cost as Madison.
She has already applied and been accepted to both Louisville and Winona State (at the advice of her guidance counselor). Selfishly, I prefer Louisville vs anywhere in WI or MN, as the drive time is the same from Milwaukee to Minnesota University as it is to Louisville and the weather in Jan/Feb will be much better to visit.
Any alums on this board, or anyone attend Louisville and can offer any insight?
