I have been hearing many rumors that LT may sit out part of the game this week. While I could see that happening if the Chargers go up big (much like he did eariler this year) however the Chargers still need to win at least one game, possibly both to lock up home field advantage. If SD would lose and Baltimore wins this week then they would get home field advantage.

However some of the reports I have been hearing are saying that LT only plays the first half regardless. I don't understand why they would do that if it was close.

Just looking for others opinions on what they think will happen with the great LT this week.

I am going to say that San Diego will have this game in hand at some point in the 3rd, and we will see a lot of Turner giving LT a break. I voted 3 quarters.

Disclaimer: This might be wishful thinking since I am playing against him for the championship.

I am hoping that they rest him a bit since I am playing against him in two finals and are going to have to start Rivers in one of them.

That being said, I think he will see a little less action than usual....but with a player of LTs caliber that will be irrelevant. I could easily see him drop down to about 12 carries for 100 yards and a couple of scores.......which doesn't help me one bit.

LT2 will play the full game because he knows:1) That he can add to his records and make it very hard to ever break2) That the team needs home field advantage3) This is the Super Bowl for any real fantasy league and LT2 wants to take care of his fansI guess #3 is the most important

do you have a link to any of those freaking comments that you are stating???????????

The reports I've heard of him sitting are from the owners of fantasy teams that have to play against him in the finals!

no i dont have any links as most of the comments that i was "stating" are rumors like i said that they were in the very first line of the post. (Yes I said "report" in the line about him only playing a half, but it was still just a rumor, sorry for any confusion) Most of them came from other messageboards and other posts on this message board. I just wanted to start a poll to see how much others felt he was going to play. It was also in the "players in the news" email today that he may see less carries this week.

I figure he plays:

1) until the game is locked up one way or the other

2) until it's obvious he can't do much more to enhance his shot at the rushing title and Faulks yards from scrimmage record

given the above I think you can safely plan on 3 solid quarters at least (barring injury).

Who is SD playing this Week? Seattle

Doesn't Seattle have something to play for? Division? 1st round bye?

Doesn't SD have something to play for? HFA the whole way?

Why wouldn't he play the entire game? Isn't Seattle able to put up a lot of points?

Don't forget, there was talk about LT being motivated by going up against LJ last week. Think he won't be a little jacked for a matchup against SA? Think he may be a little motivated going into the house of the guy who's record he just destroyed?

I doubt it. I don't think he cares about records. I think he'd be more motivated to get his team the home field advantage.
