LT's trade value (1 Viewer)

My intention of this thread isn't for it to be specific trades for specific leagues. My intention is to have a discussion on what people think LT's trade value is/what it should be. Because for LT owners it is hard to know when you are just trading him because of this toe injury and when it is actually a good deal. It is also tough because you want to trade him when you are still getting extremely good value.

So basically what do people think is value is at right now? For keeper and redraft.

I would think a top back (Westbrook/Jackson) plus a 2nd tier player (Forte, Rot Williams, Dallas Clark, McNabb). This is strictly redraft.

So does LT's value go up or down in a keeper?I would say it goes down because he is reaching that 30 year old running back age, which seems to be the kiss of death for running backs.

I sent a feeler out to an owner in my league. I "potentially" offered LT and K. Smith for Barber and Forte. The dude laughed at me. Right now is not the best time to unload LT if you have him. If the Westbrook owner asked me to trade even up, I would probably do it.

10 team redraft league an owner accepted Braylon Edwards, Kurt Warner and Steve Slaton for LT and David Garrard.

I don't think he got enough in return for LT but he apparently is a Browns homer and plans on riding Warner and Slaton. He might have been scared of the toe as well, but I think he's just not thinking straight.

IMO...Barber, Turner, Westbrook, ADP, Gore, Jacobs, S. Jackson, Addai, Lynch > LTLT was a great RB in the NFL, but, time and many carries over the years are all catching up to him. LT just can't make the cuts he used to make with the Turf Toe...he's going to take some hard hits because of that and obviously won't be as productive as a result. He's also more likely to sustain an injury because of the heavier hits he's gonna be taking.

This is a tad high, especially if it is Westbrook, in my opinion (probably a 1 for 1, with another player thrown in with Westbrook to save face). But it's possible.

I suggest you do a bit of research on RBs and age using historical dominator before assuming LT will spin out of control because he's 1 year away from 30.

People are panicking right now. Typical. He'll be just fine.

wow. can't believe how quick you guys are to panic. he started slow last year, still finished as the #1 RB in my league.
Exactly, he started out HORRIBLE last year. No one talked about him being washed-up last year and he finished #1. Amen, Deuce'sWild.

This is just plain nuts. I was impressed with how LT ran last week agains a tough defense. I find it amazing how easy it is for someone to part with LT one game removed from last season (which was dominating). You are more than willing to trade LT (because he has turf toe and in your opinion is more likely to sustain more damage)for much more injury prone players (Westbrook, Peterson,Gore).

In a PPR league I offered Bush and Cotchery, Barber and Cotchery, and Barber and Thomas Jones for LT and got rejected every time. The guy in my league really wants to hold on to him.

I believe Bloom started a thread to get a feel for LT's value also. It was a very good thread as there were others.

As a Dynasty owner since his rookie season, I plan on holding him. I know some owners that want him but I'm holding out to see how the draft order is going to pan out. I'm looking for either #1, #2 or #3 (rookie draft) along with a young stud rb.................no less.

While the bolded is a possibility... there's no way to know for sure right now how severe the sprain is or how well he can cut on it.... we'll have to wait until Sunday afternoon to see how well he can cut/accelerate.

Sproles: 7 rushes for 53 yards, 2 receptions for 72 yards and a TDLT: 10 rushes for 26 yards, 2 receptions for 14 yards

0 TD's

Sproles was a huge factor in San Diego's comeback today. LT was a non factor.

All LT owners should be panicked. If you're not, then, you're still in denial. The torch is in the process of being passed. Wake up kids.

When was the last time San Diego scored 38 and Tomlinson had none of it?

:wall:

The game isn't over (me posting this with 2:00 left in the game is sure to result in an LT 75 yard TD run).

And how many people were calling for LT to be traded last season after he had 130 yards and 1 td in 3 weeks to start. Give him time. Pick up Sproles and be ready to just plug and play if needed.

Many things have changed from last year to this year. It's going to be very difficult in most leagues to just "pick up Sproles".

Last year he was healthy during this poor performances. He's injured and wasn't even in on extremely key drives. He's going to miss 2-3 weeks. His trade value is pretty darn low right now. I wouldn't trade for him unless I got a steal.

On Friday I traded LT and Roddy White for Brandon Marshall and Marshawn Lynch in a PPR league. I'm feeling quite good about that decision right about now.....
