M. Lynch vs T Richardson (1 Viewer)

As a mid first round RB, seems to be for many, you can have your choice of either. Who would you rather have and why?

Richardson. Sure, Lynch is on the likely playoff team, but Richardson will catch a lot more passes, will likely score as much as Lynch (they both had 12 TDs last year, despite Richardson being dinged up for the majority of the year) and will be healthier this year. Lynch is likely to average 100 combined yards a game and score double digit TDs again, but Richardson should also do that, while catching a lot more balls and likely having more big play scores (which is good for leagues where longer scores get you extra pts).

Lynch.

Provided you dont think Richardson is about to blow up in the new system (which is a fair belief).

Lynch is going to do pretty much what he did last year, on a couple less touches.

Richardson has a lotta ground (24%) to make up and the Browns team has a lot to do with that.

Even if Trent does outdo Lynch, Lynch is still "elite-ly" valuable.

Lynch,and it's not even close..

they're going to run him into the ground this year, Seattle is poised to have one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL..

the knock on Richardson is that he's always hurt..and it's painfully obvious,as he is dealing with a shin injury that probably will sideline him for the upcoming preseason game this weekend.

at some point, you just have to say 'caveat emptor'..

Richardson easily for me. Much more of a recieving threat, younger legs, less talent behind him, and an OC with a great track record with fantasy RBs.

If richardson can make it past the third pre season game without getting dinged up, then maybe him. But lynch has been consistent for 2 years.

Lynch will probably get slaughtered in this one but I'd take Lynch every time if I'm contending or in redraft. I just think we know what we get and its good with him.

Richardson here too. The upside is greater and I even like that you can cuff Dion Lewis to him VERY late and feel safe. You know it's Lewis and don't have to worry about, is it Michael/Turbin or Ware at various points in the season. There is durability concern with every back in this mold, Lynch is no different and he's that much older than Richardson. If they are basically even as it is, I'm swinging for the bigger upside and the guy that can hit Top 2-3 elite level under Norv and has no real threats behind him, plus all GL carries, catches and between the 20s work.

Your hate for Richardson is comical

Trent Richardson is not wearing any protective gear on his right shin and receives no treatment on it.

Richardson originally hurt his shin in May and then aggravated the issue two weeks ago. His increased workload in practice of late without any extra padding corroborates his claims that he's now 100 percent. Richardson wants to play in Thursday's preseason game.

one of these guys is a beast from the fifth dimension who runs over blockers like he is running through a field of beautiful daiseys and scores touchdowns like has nothing better to do on a sunday in the park and the other guy plays for cleveland take that to the bank bromigos

Richardson for the ppr and bonus for long td's

Have a feeling lynch will get td's vultured from wilson

Lynch for me. Wilson will be in his second year of the same offense and clearly made strides last year. This offense should be clicking well from the start. Weeden looked shaky all year and now he's in a new offense. Even if Richardson appeared as durable as Lynch, I'd still prefer Lynch. Given the durability concerns, this is an easy choice. But I won't be sad if I have a later 1st round pick and have Richardson as my RB1. Lots of upside here if Norv's offense works better in Cleveland than it did last year in SD.

Trent. Better receiver. No running QB to vulture tds on play action bootlegs.
It's ok if Wilson vultures a few TDs because Seattle will be in the red zone much more than Cleveland.

Richardson in ppr leagues.

I understand Weeden < Wilson but you do not need a great qb to have a good fantasy season as a rb.

Rb is the one position where usage and sos matter more.
