Maclin update (1 Viewer)

Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) is confident that he will start against the 49ers after returning to the practice field on Thursday.

"I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize or hurt the team," said Maclin. "If it feels good like it does now and I feel like I can go, I can go." It sounds like Maclin is prepared to test the hamstring on Thursday. If he can make it through the next two days without a tweak, he should be good to go as a high-risk fantasy play against the Niners.

we start 3 WR, my only other options are Marshall(playing him), D. Moore(want to play him), and Boldin(Revis island this week.)

I would like to sit Boldin and play maclin.

Does it ever work out to play a player with a bad hammy? I mean if hes practicing it must not be too bad?

I would play Boldin over Moore. but I would play Moore over Maclin unless some news comes out of Philly that really makes me believe he will be close to 100 %

I've learned the hard way in the past that hammy injuries in particular are high risk plays in the first game they [try to] come back. It's the type of injury that can be reaggravated without contact taking the player out of the game early. Look at A. Foster a couple of weeks ago. I'd rather have my healthy backup play the entire game rather than play Maclin with the risk he gets zero because the hamstring tightened up. If Maclin plays the entire game this week, he will be back in my lineup next week.

good points. guess I will play it safe then

It'll be a game time decision for me between Maclin (barring any set-backs), and A.J Green.

A proven player with a good matchup that has a hammy problem, or an exciting rookie in his 4th game who is coming off his worst game.

I hear you. Maclin vs Boldin is tough for me. Even if Maclin only makes it through half the game it might be more than what Boldin gets the entire game vs the Jets.

If it helps, I am going D. Moore over Maclin.
