Don's ending seemed like a parody. This show deservered something better.

As the phone call began between Peggy and Stan, I said to my wife, who hasn't seen the last couple seasons, that a great thing about Mad Men is that Weiner wouldn't be like so many others and just throw the two of them into a relationship in the finale just for the hell of it.

I've spent the last six years obsessing about this show, watching episodes multiple times, watching countless episodes AGAIN with the DVD commentaries on, telling everyone I talk to they should watch it . . .

I can't believe how bad this finale was.

Beyond surprised and disappointed.

He said it was the ending he always had in mind and it was his right to do it (paraphrasing obviously).

It was kind of clever, I guess, but there were so many emotional grand slams they could've hit and they didn't even step up to swing at any of them.

Final Don and Peggy over the phone? Blah.

I actually liked almost everything non-Don related but that was all bad.

I get it. I just was hoping for something less goofy. I suppose we watch this guy fight his demons for 10 years and the last thing we see is him finding "inner peace".

It is an ending for sure.

I loved everything but Don. It was like the goal was to tear apart the entire character and mystique of Draper.

Take all the Don scenes out except maybe the phone conversations with Peggy and I love the episode.
