In yahoo 12 team 4 teams make playoffs, if the #4 and #5 ranked teams finish with same record who would make playoffs? In settings it says playoff tie breaker is wins loss record vs opponent, but I dont see anything on who actually makes it. Will it go by points or record vs opponent?

The default tiebreaker on Yahoo is Total Points For, and it factors this into the standings all year long so you should be able to just look at the standings and the top 4 will be the playoff teams.  

The Playoff tiebreaker you mentioned means if two teams end their playoff match in a tie.  Never seen a tie in fantasy football with fractional scoring.  Lost a baseball championship a couple years ago when the finals ended in a tie, to some stupid H2H categories in regular season tiebreaker BS, but I'm not bitter
