Malcolm Floyd - Buy Low? (1 Viewer)

Floyd started out the season on fire, right where he was the last quarter of the 2011 season. But he's been quiet the last two weeks. Is he a buy low? Or were the first two weeks more due to Gates' being hobbled and the OAK and TEN defenses?

this week will be telling. he should have a strong game as it should be high scoring....if not I would start to worry

Rivers looks awful, glad I sold Floyd and Ryan Williams for Marshall before week 4
Rivers has not looked awful. Having an UNDRAFTED rookie left tackle for the first 3 weeks due to injury did not help things, but "awful" is an overstatement.Perhaps you like your trade more because you got a better receiver than Floyd and not because Rivers is "awful." ;)

Rivers is a good QB. Floyd is an average NFL WR. Floyd has a place in FF since he is the best WR in SD for now.

Define "buy low". I'm a Floyd owner....what you offering?
Brandon Bolden + Hixon to the Ridley owner.
I'd probably do that since Floyd is my #4 and not worth much more than a bye week filler to me.
I'm actually buying Meachem. I think Rivers is just looking bad because his timing is off. He doesn't go from a great QB, to nothing in 4 games. From what I'm reading, Meachem is out-running Rivers balls. Reminds me of Roethlisberger and Wallace before Wallace started producing.

I don't even think Meachem would buy Meachem.

Floyd is on the waivers in my league. I'm debating between him and James Jones since Britt's about to hit my IR. I expect a shootout here in New Orleans this week. But with my luck it will be Meachem putting up the numbers against his old club.....

I love my Saints but we can't stop anything. Hell, I'd start anybody I could against our D all year if I could.

I'd take Floyd over Jones for this week. Beyond, I have not really looked.

Malcolm Floyd? He's been retired for 13 years. I hear his little brother is pretty good, though.
Huh?
Malcolm, Malcom. Malcom is the brother currently in the league. Malcolm played in the 90's. Brothers, true fact.Parents decided to let Malcolm name the baby. Oops, parents, bad idea! So he gave little brother his name. Spelling difference was to avoid confusion at least a little.

Anybody from San Diego know how Malcolm Floyd is looking Monday night? Looking to roll the dice on him playing and there isn't really a decent option to pick someone up to replace? Or is there someone? This league, dumb I know, can't add players after 1pm today.

He's risky. You're not likely to get any more updates this morning, but here's the latest from what was known last night:Jene Bramel's 2nd opinion blog:http://bramelsecondopinion.com/2012/10/14/sunday-am-notes-and-fantasy-recommendations-w6/> Malcom Floyd was added to the injury report with a groin injury late this week but practiced fully Saturday. Late week groin injuries (new or aggravations) are always a concern for wide receivers. All indications are that Floyd will play, but there’s no guarantee he avoids a setback in pre-game or can play with his usual effectiveness. Fantasy recommendation: Floyd is no better than a risky WR3.Rotoworld:Malcom Floyd - WR - ChargersThe Union-Tribune San Diego's Michael Gehlken confirms that Malcom Floyd (groin, questionable) is expected to play on Monday Night Football.Floyd was officially limited in practice on Saturday, but the Chargers are monitoring his reps as a precautionary measure. "He got a little bit sore (Friday)," coach Norv Turner said. "We backed off. He was fine today." Playing at less than 100 percent, Rotoworld ranks Floyd as a mid-to-low end WR2 for Week 6 against the Broncos.
