Long hairs have been putting their hair up in buns for years. I was doing that 15 years ago. Like other long hairs, I did it for convenience though. It was not a fashion statement. I put my hair in a bun when I was working out or playing sports. I also put it up when I wanted to shower and not wash all that hair.
