Which team should Manny represent as a member of the HOF?
Indians - the tribe were an eternal AL laughingstock until Manny was drafted and came up through the organization. A key member of the Indians teams that went to the playoffs from 95-99. Part of two World Series teams in 95 and 97. After his departure, the club entered a decline and only made the playoffs twice, in 2001 and 2007, and only had a winning record 3 times.
Red Sox - The Red Sox were eternal contenders long before Manny came to town. For 13 of the last 14 years, The Red Sox have had a winning record. With Manny on board they finally broke through and won the first world series in decades in 2004. Then they win it all again for good measure in 2007. Manny has since been traded away but Red Sox Nation continues to roll on.
Dodgers - The Dodgers are another one of those teams that always win. Like the Red Sox, they also have had a winning record for 13 of the past 14 years. This year has had a little more urgency than others as the franchise celebrates 50 years in Los Angeles. They've added Joe Torre, made a bunch of mid-season deals, but the biggest was for slugger Manny Ramirez. Since he joined the club they are 26-19, and have opened a 3.5 game lead in the division. They are also red hot right now, with a 13-3 record in September.
Manny spent parts of 8 years in Cleveland, counting a late season callup in 93. He spent parts of 8 years in Boston, counting part of 2007 when he was traded, and has spent 2 months in Los Angeles.
