Marcus Vick Pro Future (1 Viewer)

Its amazing to me how many people here overlook character for talent. Amazing isnt the word actually. Sickening is more like it.

I wouldnt want Ma. Vick on any team I liked, even as a UDFA.

If plying teenage girls(14, 15 yrs old) with alcohol and getting busted for drug possession isnt enough to dissuade you from wanting him, his malicious attempt to injure that Louisville player should be.
You must have cringed then when the Titans picked Pacman Jones. ;) All Vick has to do is get a PR person and an agent to get him to say the right things and "appear" to have cleaned up his image. Then the NFL guys won't be as worried about his off the field issues. Still worried, but maybe not as much. His athletic ability will get him drafted. If he'd been able to play next year and had a good year, he would have been a late 1st early second round guy. Now he'll be lucky to go in the 3rd. I definitely think he'll be a late 1st day early 2nd day pick.

Isn't Travis Henry on the Titans?

If Adrian McPherson got drafted (5th round this year), then Vick will certainly get drafted. The fact of the matter is that this draft is pretty thin in the way of QBs that project to have a shot to start at the next level, and on tools alone, Vick is top 10 among QBs in this draft, and maybe as high as 5th behind leinart young (if he comes out) cutler and jacobs. The character issues may knock him out of the top 10 QB, but once you get down to the 2nd QB tier, all of those guys have their own questions - Vick fits well in that tier, it just depends on the philosophy of the GM on risk taking. At least a few GMs will be riverboat gamblers and be willing to risk a 4th or 5th on Vick on the chance that they can get his head on straight.

The nieve meter is going through the roofs in this thread.....The NFL has a track record for drafting, very high also, these kind of guys.. I am not agreeing or overlooking the character factor but people need to realize that the NFL (not us) ALWAYS - ALWAYS takes these guys on... you compare him to Phillips, Clarett , McPherson - all drafted. HE WILL GET DRAFTED.

Undrafted, and I don't believe any shark on this board believes otherwise. Unless of course they are having a lot to drink tonight.

Edited to say that I will kiss every cows butt in Texas if he is drafted.
He will get drafted. No way do I see Atlanta passing on him with a late pick on the chance that Michael can transform him into tradeable QB or at least a backup in case he gets hurt and Schaub ends up leaving.

:goodposting: I was thinking the same thing. Mike will not let Marcus get out of line, and they would have a Mike clone for when he gets injured.

If Arizona doesn't want to pay the price to move up and sleeps on the other QB prospects, maybe Denny Green might take a chance on him in the 5th or so.

Oakland takes a chance on him in the 4th 'cause his last name is Vick. He makes it on the team as a kick returner 'till final cuts of the preseason. From there he signs w/ someone from the NFC south to become a practice squad player to simulate his older brother that he'll never become on the scout team. Unfortunately he serves time in his 2nd year in the league for date-raping a girl on a roofie.

All I can say is if Oakland burned a first-round pick with Janikowski and Denver burned a first day pick with Clarett, it's not inconceivable that some team would burn a high pick on this guy even with all his baggage. By rights he should be a 6th or 7th round pick, if that. But he's riding his brother's coattails and some team will take a flier on him higher than that.

Denver picked a first DAY pick, not first round.

I fixed it before you did. :P

Prediction: He goes in the last pick of the 3rd round, continuing the trend of "shocking" picks with the last pick of Day One. Two year ago: Chris Simms, last year: Maurice Clarett, this year: Marcus Vick?
